All systems are now working.
Starting to work on the engines sound now.
Tukanâs Tin Goose looks proper - looking forward to this product release
Very much looking forward to this. Looks so, so much better than the aeroplane heaven offering. Continue to keep is posted. Hoping weâll see it by Christmas!
This is great news!
My nephew got a ride in N414H at last Saturdayâs WAAAM annual fly-in. He got some interior shots. I can go to the museum and get more interiors if youâd like to have them to flesh out your N414H. I created this video of his ride. You can get a vicarious experience!
I got this message from a senior volunteer who coordinates the fly-ins and have worked with for the 14 years of WAAAMâs existence. âRoy, I talked with Xxx at the Fly-in this past weekend and he is interested in your Ford Tri-motor simulation. He flies the plane for WAAAM and can help you considerably with control and performance questions.â I sent Xxx an email but have not gotten a response yet.
âKeep Your Nose Downâ
p.s. @Oberon3d - I didnât have any luck communicating with you via private messaging, is why Iâm posting things here. I usually work with MSFS â3rd partyâ developers with direct email (faster, cleaner, can attach things, more private, etc.). If you are open to doing this let me know and I will PM my email address.
@Oberon3d How is this project coming along? Many of us are looking forward to it.
Hi. Sorry for the radio silence.
I am still finishing the sounds. I had never used WWise and I was struggling to get some of the instruments to make any sound.
The sounds are triggered by different methods. One is directly by reacting to an Event like clicking something, Another method is when the game calls for specific Events like the engines. The one I quite didnât understand I had to use to solve the missing sounds is the SimVar one.
This method triggers the sounds as long as a variable is being modified. Now I know how and when to use it so I should be finishing the sound pretty soon.
Getting pretty close.
I can imagine youâve experienced an extensive learning curve on this project! Iâm glad you are continuing to pursue it.
Looks familiarâŠ
I canât wait to find out that the pilots have jumped!
I hope there is an inflatable dinghy.
Long time ago I discovered this concept art from Temple of Doom. I donât know if it could be useful, but Iâm sure itâs inspirational:
Howâs it going? Where you able to get certified for Asoboâs Marketplace? Was the Trimotor pilot I put you in touch with of any help? I would be happy to do any beta testing you need, but unfortunately the Trimotor guru who could come to my house to help me test recently passed away. I still have access to N414H should you need any images.
Hi. I am really sorry to hear about your friend.
Sorry for the radio silence. I have been working hard and now I can probably say that the plane is 99.9% completed. What I need now is tweak the flight model a bit and it should be ready.
No luck with Asobo Marketplace so far⊠I was concentrating in finishing the work⊠will try again in the new yearâŠ
Hello Oberon,
Now that the major global holidays have concluded, can you provide a more recent update on your progress with this model?
Thanks!
Hi @Oberon3d,
any news on your Trimotor? Itâs one of the aircraft Iâm most looking forward to =)
Hi @Stearman948713 ,
I believe it is done. I am tweaking a couple of things in the flight model but I would say it is complete.
I am soon making a couple of videos for Youtube were you will hopefully see all the details.
Still waiting for the Marketplace approval process though. Maybe the videos will speed it up if they look OKâŠ
Cheers.
Awesome! Thatâs great news =)
You certainly have a buyer here! Just say when!
Iâm ready to buy at a momentâs notice as soon as it goes live. Thanks for all of the work you have put into the project!
