I have a lot of addon airports, many of them are really good, but a few raise the bar to a higher level, this NZCH by NZA Simulations is one of them.
Their Hobart airport and Cambridge aerodrome are also excellent.

i bought NZA Christchurch Airport for Xbox Series X. Everytime i turning the camera around my plane, the Simulator jerks and the Game Crash to Desktop. Tested with plane and Helicopter. The Airport is a really great created DLC. the best so far. But in this Case its unplayable for me. do you got any other Reviews Like that and what is a suitable solution? greetings

Quick answer is no others have said its been great for them on XBOX.
I am having similar issues with crashes to the Xbox home screen, but they typically happen when loading a flight from the world map. One thing I also get (and apparently others do too) is all custom model textures vanishing after several minutes, leaving just a bunch of bare white/grey polygons. Some will pop back intermittently but the majority never recover.
How is this scenery working on xbox series x these days? Was it ever updated?
When I first bought it, it was fine. Then it became destabilised, presumably by one of the official updates. I fly in there still, periodically, and as long as you don’t go overboard with the drone, it tends to behave.
When they announced the update for Nelson (which seems to work great now), they hadn’t started a patch for NZCH, and stated that it would be a while. The Nelson patch was only released a couple of weeks ago so I’d say NZCH is a good few months off.
Hello everyone,
We are currently in the midst of developing an update to enhance performance. During our investigation, we have identified several areas that can be improved. Based on initial testing and feedback from our beta testers, we have observed an increase of 2 or 3 to 15 FPS, depending on your settings.
One common issue we have discovered is that many users are allocating more VRAM than necessary for their settings, especially when running other mods simultaneously. We have reevaluated this situation and are also working on creating a specific version for Xbox. However, we are still determining the scope of this development.
In the Christchurch area (not limited to just the airport), there is a significant loading bug occurring approximately 50 kilometers out. This bug causes all elements in the area, including photogrammetry, World Update 12 objects, and NZA NZCH, to load simultaneously. This can be problematic for users operating airliners with external flight models like the Fenix, particularly if they don’t have a fast disk. Unfortunately, there is little we can do to address this issue as it is in Asobo’s hands.
Nevertheless, we have been actively optimizing node count and draw calls across the entire scenery pack. While the textures are already quite optimized, we have also made some adjustments and removed unnecessary textures in the background of certain objects outside of area of operation. Additionally, due to a long-standing bug with certain placement tools and the game engine’s handling of object LODs (or lack thereof), we have made the decision to move away from this technology. We believe this change will benefit users, especially those with older systems such as Nvidia 20 series GPUs.
So very much still a work in progress, you’re welcome to join our discord server for closer interactions with the team and a higher resolution of updates.
Cheers
Does anyone has tested the Performance of transfered NZA Christchurch Airport in MSFS 2024 ? MSFS 2020 was horrible Performance
The updated NZCH for msfs 2024 performs noticeably better on my PC than in msfs 2020 (5800x3d/6900XT) - not sure about xbox.
I appreciate that NZA has already updated most of their scenery to 2024 versions.
