[Released] SF50 Vision Jet G2

Thank you all for your input. Removing WT MODs in community folder resolved the issue. Again thank you.

Same issue here, remove the g3000 mod from Comunity folder solve to me.

New updates with the Navigraph plugin for the Xbox is awesome. Seeing where I am on an external display is great.

Anyone seen this lol? Why does he hate the Vision Jet so much? Obviously something personal going on there lol.

I saw this a while back (posted in the dicsord).

It’s an interesting & well done technical comparison but a complete fail in regards to the business use case argument as they are not even competing in the same market segment - something he fails to disclose and even actively engages in some misdirection to imply they are.

If i had to guess it seems to be a paid hit piece by Epic, and if it was he should have disclosed that.

Which is even sillier, as the Epic 1000 seems fantastic, and would be great to see in MSFS too.

If anything you’d compare/contrast the Epic 1000 to it’s direct turbo competitors.

Exactly my thoughts when watching the video. He fails to mention that the Vision Jet really is not trying to compete with anything else.

I wouldn’t rule out the Epic connection and paid sponsorship, i agree.

Very strange for someone with that high a profile and background to make…but then again Elon Musk.:joy:

Hehe, it was obviously a well planned series of videos with an agenda. His race video was part 1 of that.

Don’t like it when high profile very smart people throw objectivity out the window.

I have NEVER watched any review videos for exactly this reason. None of these so-called ā€˜influencers’ are qualified journalists or technical experts on the product they are reviewing.

This is a different case.

You know who he is, right?

Austin is the creator/developer of XPlane. You can’t get more of a technical expert, unless perhaps you disagree with some of his development approaches like Blade Element Theory vs [insert here], but then that’s kind of a moot point too.

It’s worth watching purely for the technical analysis, nicely done.

But the issue isn’t technical in this case, it’s business.

It’s a very disingenuous comparison, and deliberately so, which doesn’t reflect well on him if you are in any way objective.

So it’s also a great example of twisting information to suit your own narrative, not an uncommon tactic, but not something I ever expected to see from a sim developer.

I agree, i was very impressed. Easily college course material there.

I didn’t know who made the video, I never watch them; but Austin is an expert on X-Plane not MSFS - and there’s a very good Vision Jet in X-Plane so I suspect envy and bitterness have biased this ā€œreviewā€.

It’s got nothing to do with either X-Plane or MSFS (or any sim for that matter).

The video is for real life aircraft owners, not simmers.

It doesn’t have to be an economic connection to Epic and/or X-plane (I’m not sure where X-plane fits in this, I didn’t watch the video). There’s possibly another economic driver at play here.

Sadly, as awesome as our ability is to find all information for free through the internet/social media, there’s so much information out there, the easiest way to get clicks is the ā€œHot Takeā€. It’s destroyed sports radio, too.

Back to FFX Vision Jet folks! Thank you.

Loving this aircraft! But am I doing it right by turning on the strobe lights before starting the engine? Usually I only turn them on when entering the runway and off when exiting.

Strobe is on acting like Beacon on other planes, partly as a warning to the ramp that the aircraft is operating and could be starting engines (or already running).

This is the answer.
