I turned off all of my antivirus and malware programs and was able to get back into the sim…once. Totally unprotected from the outside world now, of course.
My problems were solved after a lenghty MS support chat…first level 1(India), then level 2 (also India) both clueless readers od script…and finally Windows Tech support n USA which was grear and free of charge because of all the time I had wasted.
So after a crash and another reboot, a message appeared, something like “Your license could not be authenticated. Sign in with the same email and password you originally used to download the app.” It let me continue to fly, however.
What was the resolution? What was the fix?
Hi, that is often the problem with Nvidia, the newest drivers and / or software are the ones that cause the problems. There was a major problem before Christmas for example where MSFS users had to roll back to Novembers driver due to CTD.
I spoke too soon. Still same problem this morning…guess I will have to contact Windows Technical Support.
I downloaded the BETA 125.7.0 which bypasses the Launch screen, but also has given me a horrible FPS that makes the sim run like a slideshow.
so my only hope is the SU9 will fix all this Asobo junk and let me enjoy simming again.
So after being told yesterday by MS technical support that I would get a call back from a Windows Technical person who would fix my problem … nobody called me back.
I called the Windows Support Phone number and reached someone in an Indian “Support Center” reading the usual script to me. After hearing what I told her, she transferred me to the Xbox Support, which was another Indian Script reader. Her “solution” was to tell me that this was an Asobo issue and to contact the “Zen Desk”!
i told her that I had tried to do that, but was never able to get access! I asked her to transfer me to someone in the U.S. and she hung up on me.
I have gone into this detail to show what a horrible experience MS gives a customer that runs into a problem with the MSFS. I have used this game in its various versions since 1982 and never had a problem until Asobo got involved.
If anybody in Windows or Xbox support reads this, the case number is 103 823 7785.
But what I can not understand at all is WHY I am evidently the only MSFS gamer with this problem on this forum?
Seriously?
Roll back to a previous os version.
how do i do that? (I am not a techie)
Click “start” > windows update > advanced options > recovery > go back.
Check box “for another reason” and write " Os build xxxxxx is worst than Vista" // kidding
Next > no, thanks > next > next > go back to earlier build > be patient
edit
smth about beta windows 11 - not recommended for players.
my Windows 10 Pro is running perfectly after a recent reinstall, so I doubt that is causing this.
My only remaining hope is that SU9 fixes this Asobo mess!
