Reinforces that really its just an enhancement of 2020 for XBOX gaming which is completely understandable as I would hazard a guess that’s where the bulk of this titles income is generated…

They basically never finished all the bugs msfs2020 still have for a 100% internet dependable sim to make more money. Only encrypted planes inside the marketplace. Thanks I´ve didn´t spent money in that sim.
I totaly agree and think we should be able to downlaod the bae planes!
I only fly custom liveries that I make my for myself. That MS move is really bad.

No the paint kit is not enough dude. Let the modders do their magic without restrictions. MSFS 2020 would have been a failure without fbw wt headwind fsltl aig canadian mods and so on as good payware was developed slower than the modding fixes to the standard planes. The game would have mostly been dead 1 year after release.

Exacly. Said that on youtube and users got mad, but is exactly this. They improved the game (and mmoney making) part rather than a better flight simulator.
I do the same. I havent been able to spend much time in the sim do the the roll out issues. I kind of think its going to be the same as 2020. I dont see alot of default aircraft that are going to be usable anyway. I mostly fly 3rd party aircraft that i make my own liveries for now. I guess will see when we get in the sim. I wish they would have produced a few complete aircraft that were bug free. It is essential that the community has access to aircraft file’s. Even how microsoft hides the root folders when buying from the microsoft store is messed up.

Voted also, Stream the full library at my speed, Crazy. I would rather have all my aircraft local so if my internet or servers go down, we can still fly while files are on my drive like how 2020 is, I mean I have 15TB storage anyway and that you can’t even get to do the liveries Xd
As of right now, I’m stuck at the 97% club and my speeds are at 50mb/s so RIP me if this is stream only.
Able to load in half the aircraft is not even loaded into the sim XD

Completely right, Asobo or MS encrypted many parts,. Through the streaming process, there are a lot very lots of issues within the aircraft systems and several CTDs, and i cant start the engines form inibuilts a320 for ex on apron,, flybywire ( okey its not compatilble for now) sinks into ground on runway and so on..... Asobo or MS dont want to grow and learn about the file structure now and thats the total wrong direction for flight enthusiasts here on the community most for simmers, who are here from the beginning of flightsimming in the 1996 year.
So dear Asobo Team, change your mind and think about a better marketing and developement management. Your first MSFS2020 did a better way..

i cant start the engines from the apron, only it runs from the runway start. Also the efb from inibuilts have some bugs now.
Add my vote! I love tweaking textures and I was more than a tad shocked when I opened my 2024 folders and saw … NOTHING! Not to mention all the cool improvement mods we get from talented users would be a thing of the past. So yes, I’d like all aircraft to be downloadable.

This should have been included from the getgo, no excuses. It’s one of the most fundamental things in a simulator. Maybe a person with a logitech 3d wont care as much, but people with entire complex set ups are hurting and cursing right now. It takes ages to figure out all the changes and reasign it all. Not good!

Rob from Working Title just confirmed on the WT discord, that this encryption is going to stay. So no more modding in the future. What a shameful decision. For me this means good bye FS24. Hope they meet the massive protest from all lovers of flight simulation.

Just to let you know: the topic is being discussed internally - I hope I’ll get back with answers for you in the coming days.
- We know that not being able to look into Standard aircraft is a problem so I am confident there will soon be a satisfactory solution for everyone - actually, it should already be possible but it looks like we (my team) forgot something in the VFSProjector…
- Then there will be the topic of modifying those Standard aircraft - we are discussing potential solutions so that should become possible soon too. However please note that the changes you make locally will most probably only affect the aircraft in free flight - not in career or competitive modes.
- For payware aircraft things may be different - if a developer doesn’t want his product to be browsed by everyone, then there’s no reason why we should allow it. Which will also prevent changes to the aircraft.

I really hope this gets sorted - I’d love to create another Bonanza Improvement Mod just as we had one for the 2020 version of the sim.
Although small against some of the greats we did have around 40,000 downloads of the mod to improve the G36.
Looking at it now those same fixes need to be made again.
