If this happens, it’s a good thing in my view. It means the sim reaches an even greater audience which means (in theory) the sim will bring in greater revenue for the devs, which in turn (hopefully) benefits all of us.
Unfortunately, this is becoming the norm, for better or worse. Game (especially sim) development is becoming massively expensive with rising costs in just about everything. I believe if FS was only ever intended to be PC only, it would not last long. In a world where every game seems to be trying to copy the success of Call of Duty, with dwindling innovation (except from indie devs), MSFS still holds a “unique” torch.
Now that said, is the team big enough to support so many platforms? And what will this mean from a quality standpoint?
