Pilot controlled lighting isn’t “user configured” it’s the fact that in the real world airport lights are off until the pilots send a signal over VHF to activate it (usually a series of mic clicks on CTAF).
There is a truth that not everyone has OLED or HDR. I have a nice LCD panel but without HDR. The lights look very good to me and match what I’ve experienced in the real world.
