Yep, safe mode is a pain …for the first few times after I got loading hang ups (at around 60%), I restarted in Safe Mode and then spent the next half an hour or so putting all my items back in (in groups …trying to find the culprit!), only to put them all back in and the sim loaded fine!
Stopped using ‘Safe’ mode in the end and just restarted the sim in ‘Normal’ mode …sometimes took a couple of goes but would always eventually load ok.
I must admit since SU2, I have not had a single loading hang up!
I understand Safe mode only enables base game content for that startup. After a Safe mode start, subsequent startups in Normal mode should not have any items restricted.
• When Normal mode is activated, my expectation is that MSFS would restore the previously known good state prior to activating Safe mode.
This was how it operated in MSFS2020. Having to re-enable every additional item in My Library is a cumbersome requirement with this implementation.
