If that doesn’t work (and the same applies to the Windows calibration tool) the problem may be in the simulator mappings. Your elevators, ailerons & rudder should be set as “Axis,” and within the “Action Settings” (with the Cog logo) you should have “Input Repetition” ticked but nothing else. You can also adjust the curves for it here, since Logitech don’t have a software tool for the X52.
If none of these things work, it might be that the stick is at it’s end of life - they came out in 2004 after all, so it may be quite long in the tooth by now. If you were to replace and upgrade it at the same time, take a look at the VKB Gladiator.
