FYI, in the March 14th Development Update, this Wishlist item is #42 on the list with a status of “Under Investigation”.
With the focus moving to the release of MSFS2024, IMO I think it highly unlikely that there will be any traction on this issue before next year. Nr. Neumann mentioned in the April Dev Livestream that the next SU (16) will be in 2025 - see the section titled " What are the plans for supporting FS20 after FS24 is released?"
If the functionality is in MSFS 2024, it might be backported next year, as per the comment in the dev livestream ("…So there is a SU16 planned. It looks like it’s going to be early in 2025. And that will bring some of the features, as Martial mentioned a few earlier, like some of the things from 2024 will be backported if possible…)
In the meantime, it would not hurt for this item to get a bunch more votes to move it up the list a bit too…
