After a quick search, I see a wide variety of 43" 4K TVs. I assume that these monitors don’t have G-Sync, or FreeSync, and you would have to turn on V-Sync within Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020.
Would you be so kind and provide the make and model of your 43" 4K TV?
Thank you,
Tony
I have a Sharp 43". Any current 4K brand should work as well. All you need to do is run a HDMI cable from the computer to the TV Set. Most of the new ones recognize that they are now connected to a computer. Picture of my TV attached
The only time the SYNC technologies help are when the games FPS is HIGHER than the native refresh rate of the monitor or TV. With MSFS2020, you will seldom see 60 fps which is what most modern TVs operate at. Don’t let lack of SYNC dissuade you from buying if it is for FS2020.
Asus PG43UQ. HDR is nice to look at. Colors are much richer. Go for that over Gsync if you can. Even with my 3090, I hardly ever see over 60 FPS anyway…and 60 is smooth.
Your explanation of when the SYNC technologies kick in is very helpful. I’m obviously hung up on when I need or don’t need Adaptive Sync, G-Sync, Freesync, and V-Sync.
I don’t know the detailed specs on the video card. V-Sync is turned on. I have three different computers (all laptops) and they are all running TV sets and monitors without any problems just using HDMI cables and no special settings.
