Hi all,
This regression has been addressed in build 1.39.6.0 with the following note:
Fixed reversion of HTML/JS technology stack (Coherent) build configuration optimization parameters on Xbox to address regression of HTML/JS avionics performance’
We’d love feedback on your experience with this issue in this new build.
Thanks!

No one understand what that means…please translate in normal language for people who are not working in IT. THANKS!

Absolutely. May as well have been in Chinese. Please explain what has been addressed and how we will see improvements. Thanks.
I just don’t understand why this update is necessary. They’re going to ruin it.
All we need is a bing maps update that’s it!

It’s difficult to put it into different words, but I’ll attempt:
Software is compiled with various compiler optimization flags that control how aggressively the compiler will optimize the code during the compile process. Normally for production builds these flags will be set to make a fully optimized build; this makes them somewhat difficult to directly debug as the code becomes rearranged and may not correlate directly to lines of source code anymore. Therefore these settings are generally either relaxed or not used when building internally for development, so the software can be debugged as needed.
In this case the optimization flags were accidentally dropped from the XBox production build that creates the library that handles the HTML/JS software stack, and this library is called Coherent. The HTML/JS instruments, like the Garmins, the sim Boeings, the CJ4, etc all run on top of this library and software stack, so were greatly affected. These flags were readded to the production build and so the build is again fully optimized as it was previous to this regression.
Hope that helps, and that you can understand why it’s hard to fit any more intelligibly into a changelog sentence!

Certainly can confirm that on the avionics front the avionics on the Black square TBM850 and Black Swuare Caravsn as well as the FFX P180 Avanti all working much much more smoothly with the latest build. But I’ve dropped the beta due to unstable performance - black avionics screens and general stutters after around 30 mins flight time - but a separate issue obviously,
Edit these were the aircraft with avionics that gave me biggest problems so I tested these three fiirst as a check.
Is there a fix for dark avionics? I started experiencing those a few weeks ago on Xbox X in MSFS2020 flying a320 V2. The avionics suddenly go dark and often the whole sim crashes. I turned off all data hungry options but it did not help. I have fast 650 wired internet connection.
