[image] Tweak112: Modern DX12 engines, like REDengine in Cyberpunk 2077, do this every day. They query the DX12 API to check available VRAM headroom in real-time. I did not a deep analysis, but this thread sounds completely different: The game tries to allocate a fixed amount of VRAM base…

The example is from a topic named “Cyberpunk has the best VRAM management”. 90% in that thread indicated how well it ran at the highest settings including the original poster on a 4060 pc. Dynamic memory allocation doesn’t mean it will use all VRAM if not needed, so as stated in the thread 13 gb u…

Well, as I mentioned earlier, I am no expert, but with respect, AI disagrees with what you just stated. The quote from AI when I asked the question about dynamic VRAM usage in Cyberpunk “No, CD Projekt Red’s REDengine 4 in Cyberpunk 2077 does not dynamically downscale texture quality or aggressive…

I don’t know if anyone here is on the SU7 beta, but the situation has worsened—at least in the latest SU7 beta build—and that worries me quite a bit. I ran the usual tests, and while the significant FPS drop used to occur after waiting about ten seconds before panning the view up or down (or vice ve…

This was always an issue, even without waiting for 5-10 seconds. It depended on your graphics settings, specifically your TLOD. When set to 200 or higher the stutter always occurs anytime your FOV passes through the horizon.

I wonder if an adjustable off-screen object cache would be a better compromise than one fixed behaviour for everyone. Systems with more VRAM could keep more cockpit assets ready, while lower-VRAM systems could stay more aggressive with cleanup.

Hi, that’s not the issue I was referring to; I can actually reduce the LOD, but the problem persists. It’s a long-standing issue that Asobo still hasn’t managed to fix.

[image] gianluk81: Hi, that’s not the issue I was referring to Ok, but this thread refers to a very specific stutter while changing instrument views within the cockpit. If you are not referring to that stutter, perhaps it would be best to post under another thread that more closely aligns wit…
