Now the good news is they seem to have cleaned up some of the VRAM issues. I am now starting my test flight with 3 GB free when in the past it was exhausted and had the VRAM memory warning. Positive sign.
I’m now going to try turning ReBar back on to see what happens
I get none actually (at least none that are obvious) I did try the in sim frame gen but that one actually did give me artifacts especially on the engine fan blades. I switched back to FMF after that
This feels like the sim thst shouldve been released last november, very smooth performance, lighting looks fantastic in the evening and the fps has massively increased compared to su3. With rebar off im getting between 90-140+ fps with frame gen on with graphics at ultra with 200olod and 100tlod on ground and 300tlod in the air and the vram is sitting confortably within the limit.
Also I noticed this on previous build, but can any tell me why my base framerate in external view (at altitude) always go to 30FPS like they are capped (I have no cap set), while in cockpit view they climb higher (43FPS). It’s a mystery to me.
What I find irritating about AMD software. It does not always reconize the right .exe file. So sometimes FLuid motion frame will be on and sometimes off.
Running very well for me so far. They seem to have fixed pronouncing underscore in ATC but sadly not the stutter when you open the ATC panel.
My beloved A2A comanche is mostly working again with a few quirks. The tablet fades in slowly and any controls like the mixture and any switches that are red have a strange ghosting to their animation.
You can’t remove the pitot cover from outside the plane and if you use the tablet the slider for the pitot always shows it on, but you do get a click when you press it and it does remove the pitot cover.
That’s all I’ve noticed so far.
*Edit : Oh and the panning views seems much smoother
I had a CTD with the 777 and FSLTL running. I had another CTD earlier today as well with FSLTL. Will do some more flights without to see if FSLTL is causing these CTDs. Until the CTD, it was really smooth!
Sorry for your experience. I have been using AMD software for 4 years now since i got a 6800XT and now a 9070XT. I will say that the initial beta versions of FMF were hit and miss but i have always managed to make it work on my system. For me and my system it just works.. and works very well actually.
