However, you can get rid of the ground stutter. Try OXR30 with LOD10 with RS100%. I can push LOD75 with my 3080Ti, but at low resolutions like OXR30 the ground stutter is gone.
Sure, because your FPS is higher with such a low resolution. It’s always a tade-off…
Of course. However, the point is that the graphics pipeline can pump the frames. Perhaps the higher resolutions just need optimizing. It takes awhile to get to where you can ignore the screen aliasing, but eventually you stop noticing them. I’m still dialing in the best number for my G2.
BTW, you can use the same approach in DCS with SteamVR CRM 40 and Visibility Range LOW to get that pipeline very, very smooth in VR as well. They also have the ability to dial their CRM to decimal precision, allowing them to get the exact number of pixels they want to test. OXR goes up and down by 5s, unless there’s a config file for that I don’t know.
They get better results than MSFS with their engine, IMHO, but that means there’s lots of room for improvement here.
