Yep. This is a tip I picked up from blurbusters.com years ago, the makers of the UFO test. It helps to prevent the FPS from exceeding the gsync range, which can cause tearing and stuttering when that happens, as Gsync won’t work anymore. Also, limiting the frame rate based on your monitor’s maximum refresh rate helps to prevent your GPU running away with FPS in menus and working harder than it needs to in some workloads, as all those extra frames over and above your monitor’s max refresh are useless (though as always some will dispute this, and their argument may have merit in certain use cases).
