Wele… I have try this solution and it’s work fine… After the edit Start and Restart the Simulator… In “My Library” Flag the choice “Community” To see all your packages. All works fine now… (Waiting for official patch… )
When selecting the location of the community folder, the settings interface automatically pops up and cannot be saved. When entering here, restore the original location of the C drive. Unable to fix at the specified location.
We still can’t set custom community folder location in SU2 beta from the My Library Settings Cog.
This is super annoying as I have a huge number of third party products and I don’t want it all on my main C drive. I imagine vast numbers of others are in the same situation.
We need to be able to specify where our community folder is located.
Back in February I installed FS24 on PC1 which already had FS20 installed on it. Both versions see their respective Community contents. Subsequently I stood up PC2 in preparation for dual locations and installed both versions on it. Neither of the versions on PC2 can access their Community contents, even though the appropriate path is displayed in the Path Box and Displaying will show the files inside the Community Folder within FS24’s File Explorer. It seems that whatever function the Verify button performs may not be working properly.
Happening to me as well. When I select and confirm the folder in the settings menu, it immediately reverts back to the original once the menu closes. No need to restart the sim to see it doesn’t work.
Had the same problem after updating from ver. 1.3.23.0 to 1.4.9.0.
Uninsalled the sim, installed the live version first than the beta and now it works.
I’m with SU2. I had a custom community folder. It changed to default with SU2, but even when I change the folder from library settings to my custom folder, it still does not use it. No addon loaded.
is this something already tracked by MS/Asobo and will be fixed in a future SU2 update ? (I don’t want to teak files, I prefer to wait for a fix)
open UserCfg
scroll all the way to the bottom
you’ll see two lines of codes
all you need to do is proide the folder where the sim is installed
that’s it
no community and no packages foldres at this phase
then enter the sim and choose your preferred path for the community folder
prob solved.
It seems the community folder will not confirm a changed location. Followed both recommended methods as shown via MS2024 posts. Either it gets stuck or will not confirm new location.
This must be a new bug I have not had this issue previously, even after restart several times as per requested. {See Photos}

ISSUE DESCRIPTION
Description of the issue:
This problem has been happening since last SU2 update
If I change the ‘Community’ default location to another location (eg. D:\MSFS2024\Community), the system will pop up a folder select window again and again. about 10 times of select same location the pop-up window can be closed, and the system pages stayed to say ‘Packages transfer to new storage is in progress’ for a very long time, and then, my 4T, almost empty driver, became full. I check that there is a new temp folder created under the Community folder and with very large files inside.
If applicable, which aircraft is experiencing this issue?
[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?
YES, tried to remove everything. nothing changed.
FREQUENCY OF ISSUE
How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?
Every time when I try to point the Community folder to other drive than default C:\
