Takeoff in Crosswind

Yes, taxi as well. But there’s a catch that’s not stated: as you pick up airspeed and controls become more effective, you should be rolling out the crosswind inputs. I wouldn’t use the elevator inputs on takeoff, either, just ailerons, elevator for taxi (and different with tailwheel aircraft altogether).

Takeoff - start with full aileron input and smoothly roll them out until about rotation speed - you might still have a little deflection as you lift off.

Landing - reverse of that.

Look up left-turning tendencies and weathervane effect for the reasons why we have to use so much right rudder. Here’s a post I made explaining them. The ailerons are used to keep the wing from rising as well as the adverse yaw assists with the weathervane effect. Keep in mind the physics of the sim do not completely emulate this realistically, there’s still some work to do.
