Cessna 172 JT-A MrTommyMxr Mod - turbo diesel takes all the finagling out of managing the engine and gives the Skyhawk a lot of oomph right up to the 17,500 limit. With the G1000 NXi, you can land almost anywhere in under any conditions.
SR-22, now that it’s been updated to POH, it acts and feels like the 180kt high performance tourer it’s supposed to be. With the G1000 NXi, it’s superb.
CJ4 with the Working Title Mod. The mod not only gives it a realistic ProLine21, but also a closer FDE. So easy to program once you’ve figured it out, with good speed and range for almost any mission.
IMO anything from DC designs should not even be on the list.I am not impressed with the f-15 I bought .Indiafoxtecho is currently the only developer making quality modern day military jets for this game.
Aerosoft CRJ (best modern airliner at the moment)
Just Flight Arrow Bundle (prefer the turbo if had to choose one)
Just Flight Hawk (most realistic military jet, a level above the others)
Milviz Corsair (best warbird, blast to fly)
Milviz Porter (far better than Asobo version)
PMDG DC6 (so well done)
DC Designs just posted some great looking WIP screenshots of their F-15 cockpit upgrade that will be free for existing owners AFAIK. Hopefully they will be on your best-of list for 2022
Carenado Seneca and Carenado Seminole if one likes photorealistic twin-prop biz planes. Aerosoft CRJ if someone likes tubeliners with perfect graphics quality. PMDG Cloudmaster (and PMDG 737) for perfect study-level planes. Just Flight Piper Arrow if someone likes General Aviation.
FBW A32NX for me although I have not flown it since thanksgiving. I was randomly drawn to the 747-8i one morning realizing I had only flown it in landing challenges since I purchased the game last Xmas. I flew 4 consecutive start-to-finish flights using only the Salty747 enhancement and the default flight planner, all IFR with absolutely no hiccups in any way, including ATC mis-instructions, with live everything on, from cold and dark. I have not sat in anything else yet since, and about 40 hours later…so, I vote:
