If you fly the drone into the tower and look around you can not control the aircraft unless you hit the C key but then the drone view is ■■■■■■.
And the drone does follow the aircraft when passing.
The only way I think to have a decent tower view is by recording your flight by flight control replay and then play with the drone.
Very complex and time consuming.
Or am I missing something.?

OK, but it will not to be a new sim, but old 2020 with some new planes and addons. Look on that videos from it. It isn´t a totally new product. And yes, Tower view is, for me, most wanted and most missing thing in 2020 and I absolutelly don´t understand why it is still missing after so many updates …
It takes all of 15 seconds to set up your own tower view in the replay tool. I don’t think it’s an option for x box users though.
I can’t believe nobody linked in the wishlist from forever ago…

I miss the Tower View’s from FSX since i converted to MSFS 2020. I learned a lot about my Landings watching them in tower view while replaying my Landing i just completed.
I would appreciate it much to have this function available.

Whats to stop you SLEWING you plane up into the top of the Tower, and then watching the airport from there , while listening to the MSFS Radios. (even popping them out to another monitor etc etc )
If you want a crude Radar screen,m bring up VFR Map, or even better Little Nav map
The point of having tower view is to be able to CONTROL the plane when viewing from the tower or ground! Not possible in drone mode. Instant Replay as in FSX would also be nice.

You can toggle control from the drone to the plane though, right? It’s ‘c’ for me, not sure if that’s the default. But yeah, it would be way nicer if you could just hit ‘s’, and you’re instantly in the tower watching your plane roll down the runway at Meigs. I agree this should have been a “gotta have” feature from the start.

I didn’t ask for a workaround. There’s no reason not to have the real thing. The definition of where the tower is is part of the airport definition. Well it’s supposed to be, given there’s no tower view I’m sure nobody updated it appropriately.Be that as it may, no, I don’t want to have to slew there.And I don’t want some makeshift radar and radio setup when all the information is there to get it to go.

How did that work out for you 
FSX initially was never going to have a Tower VIew, with a radar etc, but one of the Aces Team, (PR guy, not a developer, forgot his name) pushed for it, and it was because of him that FSX had the TOWER Mode.
It was very cool, and yes, missing in 202 (we will find out if added o 2024 in a few hours)
Many people enjoyed acting as ATC in FSX, especially when with groups in MP, that wanted a less formal ATC than Vatsim etc.
MS-MP used it, (Highly Modified) to run a comprehensive ATC system for FSX
Unfortunately, as it has not been mention in prior promotions for 2024, I very much doubt if we will see s similar TOWER MODE in 2024.
But we do have BATC, and the amazing AI Sayintentions.AI ATC systems, so all is not lost as far as better ATC is concerned going forward into 2024.

There is a camera definition in default msfs2024 installation which should be a tower view.
I just can’t seem to find any control or way to get use of this view, i will soon try to replace some other default cameras with this view and share my results, if it should work.

Yes bring back the tower view, was good to watch busy airport in action with addon AI, or to watch a replay of a landing etc.
I sometimes used the tower view in the older sims to fly like a R/C plane perspective which was fun.
So i tried to get some of those to work, but either this is a feature that was abandoned during development or is something upcoming, not implemented yet. At least when using airplane cameras the tower view is not accessible.
Maybe someone know how to enable cameras per console by guid, at least i dont.
I hope the tower view in msfs2024 Cameras.cfg is a spoiler for some upcoming new camera controls.
Those may be cameras meant for developer mode, to be used when creating scenery. Or they’re just placeholders.
