Vision Jet won't slow down for landing

Hi there,

What you’re experiencing is actually a safety feature. The “Stall Speed High” message on the PFD indicates that the stall speed is higher than usual. This can happen if:

  • Anti-ice is activated, which increases drag and raises the stall speed.
  • You’ve descended through icing conditions, even if anti-ice is on, as residual ice can slightly impact aerodynamics.

The typical Vref speed for the Vision Jet is around 85 knots, but in these situations, you should follow the procedure for turbulent or icing conditions:
Add 10 knots to your Vref speed. So, aim for about 95 knots during approach.

This adjustment should help you maintain better control and prevent the aircraft from triggering the stall warning as you approach touchdown.

Hope this helps, and safe flying!
