I’ve hit a similar, but probably different issue since SU5.
Between 2 and 10 minutes into a flight head tracking seems to become overly sensitive or perhaps muddled. As I turn, roll or pitch my head, the view will jerk in the dirrerent directions as it generally tracks in the right direction. If I set the headset down on the table and nudge it, the reaction on screen is far greater than when the problem isn’t present.
I’m running a 5800X / 3080 with a HP Reverb G2.
The problem doesn’t go away until I restart Flight Sim (no need for a reboot), so tried a few different things to try and isolate the problem.
SteamVR/OpenXR - happens with both
Motion Repro on/off - no difference
Not seen this in any other app/game.
Cliff house/SteamVR home fine when switching back out
Jiggle rotations on - bounces around screen all over the place, not just around the edges, but seems to do the same before the problem appears too.
FPS stable at the time (30-40 on OXR 70 / TAA 110), and image quality fine
Pausing in game, the menu is stable, but view behind is still showing the problem
POI markers remain stable and follow head tracking fine too
I haven’t yet tried to remove the few items I have in community folder, that’s next.
It could be a USB issue - the other thing that changed with SU5 was a new motherboard - changed from Gigabyte X570UD with HMD plugged into a USB 3.2x2 card to on board USB-C on an Asus B550-F.
Would appreciate any pointers or further diagnostics to try out.
Cheers
Edit - here’s a post with a short video showing the behaviour:
