Vsync not working "in game" at all

The driver FPS limiter may limit the amount of frames the CPU can prepare ahead of the GPU, especially if low latency mode is enabled.

20 seems quite low, right? I just boosted som GFX in game and there was hardly any difference. Raising clouds from medium to high made a huuuuge difference in eyecandy, thats for sure.

Still using 45fps max in NCP. Vsync selected OFF (just to be sure) too. Nothing set in FS2020. Its very stable and well
its working. Might need to drop to 30-35 though, just not sure how well my Gsync monitor handles that. Is this when I need vsync ON? =)

Gsync is always on, right? Or do I have to force in NCP? I guess MS have fixed FS so its detected as a fullscreen app by now? It seems like Gsync/Freesync work with default settings in NCP. =)

It’s still not true exclusive fullscreen. It’s borderless windowed I think. But since screen tearing is allowed, it can somewhat bypass DWM in that way. (Edit - PresentMon says “Hardware: Independent Flip” indicates the app does not have ownership of the screen, but is still swapping the displayed surface every frame.)

A true G-SYNC monitor with a large VRR range may not need V-sync enabled, but anything that’s just “G-SYNC Compatible” may need V-sync to prevent tearing if the FPS is not consistent enough.

It also happens to me but only with the selected option of directx 12
