At least this is what they go by at WAAAM. These delineations vary by a few years depending on the source. For sure an Airbus is not any of these! :o)

I’ll… uh… I’ll show myself out.
I hope the PBY Catalina flying boats are in the Vintage and/or Classic lists!
My favourite of all time was the Aerosoft model in FSX, but I and others seem to have given up asking Aerosoft to convert it for MSFS. It had a good working implementation of the original (vacuum powered) Sperry autopilot and excellent cockpit modelling.
There’s a freeware PBY!
Yes indeed, and looks promising! Full marks to FrenchVFR so far, I’ll have a good look at that one.
Coming soon to MSFS. With the help of a very skilled developer who has joined our team to bring the golden age to this platform. Follow our progress at Sim Outhouse.
looking forward to it, Paul - this is great news!
Love it!
Yours is so much better than the other offering. Not to knock the other, per se, as their goal isn’t accuracy, more just fun to fly.
More biplanes, more better!
I would eventually need a dc4 or the forgotten high wing DC5 after I finish learning the DC3 the only thing to move up to in the Douglass aircraft line is the DC6 by PMDG
will it have the ‘crew start’ option for firing up the engine, Paul?
I see no mention of the Bleriot?
That’s an old aircraft in my view, a classic antique

I suppose this crate qualifies both as “antique” (production started in the late 1920s) and “vintage” (build in 1934). It’s a Klemm KL 25 d VII. This particular plane is still in flying conditions in EDTE Euthingen im Gäu, Germany. Due out in a few month.
That and much much more.
I really hope a few more vintage aircraft make it onto the Xbox - I have had my eyes on the Bleriot for a while but to my knowledge, it won’t transition across. My great great grandfather flew one, so it feels particularly personal!
A second particularly guilty pleasure would be a recreation of the Dunne D7/D8, which the same grandfather flew from England to Paris and was instrumental in the development of the 1913 Nieuport - Dunne and future Nieuport fighters during WW1.
I find the basic planes, with all their vices, remind me why I love to fly planes in the first place - from the absolute impossibility of flight to the ability to cross the English Channel within the space of a few decades is utterly incredible! Such a celebration of human intellect!
Never heard of the Dunne before but now I want one! Sounds like your great great grandad was an interesting chap.
Shame you probably won’t get to fly the Bleriot on Xbox as it is quite a fun little bird. I don’t fly it often but when I do I enjoy the challenge of it. I’d really love some more of the really early stuff like that.
I might be showing my utter lack of programmer knowledge but I would have thought the earlier planes would be easier to model? I would have thought that there would be far more available than there is (I’m sure the interest would perhaps be a reason why there aren’t so many - maybe they don’t sell so well)…
Probably just comes down to them not being very popular, unfortunately. Early aviation is quite a niche interest.
WOW! That is a beautiful cockpit.
