What´s also worth mentioning and may not be very visible at first sight: even smaller instruments are MUCH better readable with the increased instrument lights.
Look at the magnetic compass (up) and those fuel and oil gauges at the bottom of the screenshot.
There is another, older thread, discussing the sim´s “eye adaption”, which dynamically makes the cockpit brighter or darker, depending of your field of view. This “feature” is much more working like an older camera and not like the human eye, which is capable of differentiating MUCH bigger ranges from “bright to dark” tones. This adaption feature can´t be turned off, so something else, which can be done today is welcome: editing instrument lights to get them MUCH brighter (as mentioned) can absolutely solve this issue.
@ N6722C I think you know this thread well, but others might be interested in reading this too, to get an deeper insight and additional info, to deepdive the “rabbit hole” too…
Most of those threads are now archived, and swept under the carpet, but the issue was never resolved, so I am pleased to see someone else, bringing it up again, with such technical authority.
Well, as i ain´t no “native speaker” i sometimes don´t get each and every pun, i have to admit, but i am learning… also as an ancient being.
Good to have you here. Let´s try to get heard, even if it may need a very long breath.
I also ain´t perfectly sure anymore, having this thread in this particular section of the forums is the best place to be to be heard and seen widely.
