What did you do in MSFS today? (Part 3)

Took the CRJ 1000 from Port Moresby Jacksons International in Papua New Guinea to Cairns, Australia. Finally seem to have a good grasp on her systems and we were treated to some great views along the way, especially leading up to the coast of Australia!

Continued my Myanmar tour in the Baron, this time from Bagan to Mandalay / Chanmyathazi. Even spent some time afterwards reading up on the WikiVoyage travel guide to Mandalay. Seems like a nice place to visit, even if getting there from Central Europe might prove to be a problem.

I wish they would enable this in Career mode. What a great option to have instead of all the business jets.

Flew the L39C “Drop Bear” from Santiago Arturo Merino Benítez (SCEL) to Concepción Carriel Sur (SCIE) on Vatsim:

There were no controllers online, so it was unciom all the way.

Just did BIKF to BIBD to try and boost my performance rating which dropped after customer satisfaction was 30% - for what reason I have no clue -

Flew the dc9 10 from Rochester (KROC) to Buffalo (KBUF) it’s actually way cheaper to fly out of Buffalo and Toronto instead of Rochester IRL so I have been flying out of Buffalo more and have more experience at Buffalo airport then Rochester

I was gona post a couple days ago but you have moved address :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

It was a busy start to the week, especially for a Monday.
I started the day getting reacquainted with the V22 out of RAF Mildenhall

Took her cross country to the beautiful Welsh valleys

Then spent lunchtime scrapping around with @Deano1973 in our regular Top Fun training sortie

Then later after the adrenaline had worn off jumped back into the V22 for some zen meditation up in the high peaks of Bhutan

Felt a hankerin’ for some bush flying, so we took the Draco out of Spokane and found some out of the way strips near Lake Pend Oreille in the Idaho panhandle. I also used this trip to really work on my handling of the Draco to keep it from getting out of control on the ground: pull the stick hard upas soon as you start moving down the runway to take off and then land at a super slow speed (thanks to YouTuber Flight Sim School!).

We didn’t have any camping equipment with us, so from there we headed to Kalispell and Glacier Park International to find a place to rest our heads for the night. The Washington-Idaho-Montana scenery never fails to disappoint!

Such a big runway. Too bad I’m only going to use like 10 feet of it.

Some of these smaller fields are really stepping up their hospitality.

Gotta say it: that’s a darn cool looking plane…

A post was merged into an existing topic: Pilot’s lounge - What did you do in MSFS today?

Building SPAD profiles for the Cessna 185F, and came across some of the best clouds I’ve seen in MSFS ever. 2024 SU2 Beta with Active Sky FS.

What I noticed was the slight blue tint from the glass made the sky look more realistic.

Visited another of those Windows Spotlight locations. This time it’s Whitehaven Beach on Whitsunday Island, Queensland, Australia.

The shot as seen from the Windows Spotlight image above.

I took off from the nearby Hamilton Island Airport (YBHM) in the amphibious Rans S6S.

Approaching it with it off my left wing.

Swing around to the North, then back in from the West for a landing.

Departing to return to Hamilton.

Beautiful, makes me want to go and see for myself!

Was this in 2020 or 2024?

As soon as my mission is complete I will have a look but I suspect it wont be quite as good as in SU2.
