What is the speediest STOL plane currently available?

Fastest true STOL plane would have to be the PC6 Porter, followed by the Quest Kodiak and the Cessna Caravan. Next fastest would be the smaller Carbon Cub.

The CubCrafters NX Cub has a top speed of 140 kts. And it’s a very capable STOL aircraft for impossible landings and take-offs.

Here is some evidence:

Correction - 180-190TAS at max cruise.

F 18 landings can be very short if you spear in vertically, I am told.

Rockwell OV-10 Bronco. You find it as freeware. Fairly fast for a turboprop, needs very small runways, can land anywhere. Sadly no GPS navigation tho.

The Blackwing 635 for sure, it is faster than most STOL planes and can land really very short.
Too bad Orbx abandoned the product but if it suits your needs it is available.

With tailwind?!

You’d be surprised what you can accomplish with Vertigo.

But if you want a (semi)traditional bush plane, although not the fastest at 140KT the Monster NX owns all. Albeit it’s a bit gonzo.

Yep, Vertigo 2.0 on reverse prop is a very short rollout. 65 knots on full flaps is quite manageable.

F-35B.
