What is your general interest, GA , Airliners in MSFS 2020?

I fly mostly the NextGen EMB-110 freight variant. I use it with and without Neofly. Just something about this plane and it meets my interest, low wing twin turboprop cargo. I 've also been flying the Bell47G a lot. Not really flying much else lately even though I have quite a few addon planes.

I mostly fly Airliners. Capt Sim 767-400ER 5 stars is a lot of fun. I figured out the FMC in all the Boeing Airliners. I like to just jump in and with Navigraph do a flight. Sim works great. I do like GA planes. I just got the Twin Otter. 5 star pay DLC. Massive amount of fun!!

I flew 20 years in the military. Flight sim is just fun, relaxation, and eye candy for me.

GA exclusivley, in fact the Just Flight Piper Arrow III with steam gauges. I saw a comment that operating an airliner was too much like using a computer to operate a computer - which of course appeals to some but sums up how it seems to me. My target is to learn how to fly what seems to be the most realistic plane in the sim - and maybe move on from there. But GA flying does seem to be the most fun, with the best visuals.

I started off flying all the different planes but in the last few months I got hooked on the airliners. Iā€™ve been mostly flying FBW A320. I went through a few video tutorials to get a better understanding of the procedures and controls. Iā€™m still learning but Iā€™ve learned enough where flying A320 gate-to-gate from cold start isnā€™t frustrating anymore. I enjoy the flight procedures, discovering new airports, firing up the Wikipedia while flying over different parts of the world.

And a big ā€œthank you for your serviceā€!

You did what I could only dream about since I could walk. Thatā€™s includes getting a PPL. You see, I was one of the few percentage of males who was born red/green colorblind. Story of my life.

I prefer GA, but I find myself interested in IFR and more interested in flying higher and longer. I donā€™t like to jump from airport to airport but would rather fly there, so that is driving me to fly the jets more.

I like the new Skymaster C337, TBM9, Longitude and twotter.

Thanks

Well, flying the sim is the next best thing. A lot better than any sim I was in during my Navy and Coast Guard time!

For me,
I donā€™t really have an interest in a specific type of aircraft anymore. My primary desire is to be as fluid and in harmony with the atmosphere (specifically, the fantasy of simulated air within MSFS). When I fly in MSFS, the joy I feel is from the freedom in maneuvering throughout the skies, anywhere in the world, and to visually appreciate just being there - up there. No other simulation has been able to capture and provide that sensation as exceptionally as MSFS does and in any location in this World.

MSFS, through its achievement system, prompted me to experience flight from the perspective of different aircraft and in vastly difference performance envelopes. MSFS gave me a reason and desire to explore flight from the cockpit of aircraft I had never considered in my 30 previous years in the flight simulation genre.

I no longer avoid considering the purchase of any specific type of aircraft, I only avoid specific developers. That isnā€™t to say that I feel that the products some developers offer arenā€™t of any value. It merely means that I can see from reviews that some of their products wonā€™t offer me the fulfilling experience of flight that Iā€™m looking for in an addon.

When I was young and was chasing my dream of flying for the USAF, I was only interested in modern jet fighters, to go as fast as possible, and to believe that I could do it. I ultimately chose a different path in lilfe, but the love for aircraft and for flight has never left me. In my later life, I just want to enjoy being up there (even if itā€™s only simulated). I want to be one with the air and with the aircraft. Currently, warbirds offer me the most freedom in flight. Their performance envelope allows me to maneuver to my desires, and there is much less of a sacrifice to your maneuvering freedom and performance as there is with the high airspeeds of modern fighters. General Aviation, Regional Aircraft, and Airliners each offer their own relative explorations to VFR and IFR flight. Let your own interests decide what youā€™ll explore next. Each and every aircraft is its own journey to be enjoyed.

Each aircraft has its own signature in the air and its own feel within your hands (at least as close to the feel as a simulation can offer). Every individual has their own specific wants and desires. It is up to each individual to explore, either through research or through actual purchase of an addon, the different perspectives of flight each aircraft offers. It is up to each individual to find what addon provides them with the most fulfilling experience. Donā€™t surrender who you are and what makes you happy to anyone else. Donā€™t satisfy someone elseā€™s arrogant ego by listening to anyone who tells you what will make you happy. Any addon you decide to purchase based on your own research (and that might very well be inclusive of recommendations from others) will never be a mistake. It will however always be a learning experience.

Spend a little time getting to know yourself. The many reviews already available will show you the aircraft that will be your best aerial partner at the time - because what you want now will ultimate evolve and change with your experience over time.

Believe in yourself. Allow your own interests shape the choices of addons you purchase, and make the journey your own.

Both. I fly everything, probably about equally too. In about 1300 hours flown probably about half are GA, half are airliner.

I just enjoy all of it. GA is great for exploring and going to small strips youā€™d never see in an airliner, and with them the outstanding local topography and scenery. Airliners are great for hops to destinations like major hubs in my case which I also enjoy, doing medium to long hauls.

I enjoy all of it and this way I truly get to see the incredibly beautiful world theyā€™ve created for us to explore.

In any case, there is no wrong way to sim. Enjoy it however you enjoy it best, even if thatā€™s going full send with damage off as far as Iā€™m concerned

I also like using career mode add ons lime The Skypark, in which I use almost exclusively GA and it takes me places Iā€™d never otherwise go, and PACX for airliner simulations of passenger flights. My personal choice of course but Iā€™ve been enjoying those. I also get bush trips regularly off some flight planning sites for some rugged GA exploration as well.

Cheers

GA piston-engine steam gauge aircraft are my favorite. Having said that, the SWS Kodiak 100 is currently my ā€œgo toā€ā€¦ it is a superb model that is so much fun to fly. (I watch Ryan fly in PNG in the Missionary Bush Pilot channel.)

The only airliner I fly is the DC-6, which takes MSFS to a completely different level. (No pun intended.) If and when a DC-3 is released Iā€™ll likely add that to the hangar as well.

Single engine GA and helicopters. I fly with military jets (Goshawk) when flying longer distances.

Airliners give the most interesting and fascinating challenge and weeks of good entertainment. Ah I remember the old PMDG Cloudmaster days with hours of reading the handbook and watching YouTube tutorials etc. and having this magnificent perfect plane perfectly simulated with all aspects like engine damage and flight physics.

And of course twin-engine GA with enough power to climb above the clouds but being capable of low&slow and easy landing by hand. Carenado currently fullfills this wish best with their photorealistic perfect planes.

Mainly tube liners and only GA probably the Caravan flying into small regional and rural airports.

GA for sure.

Have to admit that Iā€™m a bit of a hybrid flight simmer.
By nature, I prefer to perform short (<2 hours) GA flights during clear daylight conditions.
Some times I take a wide body from field A to B but once Iā€™m on cruise level I get a bit bored.
IRL I was very lucky to have the opportunity to join my late brother ( captain 777) on many flights to interresting destinations.
Cape town, Singapore, San Francisco and New York, to name a few.
I loved the flights ( take off, inflight services and landings) but the destinations even more.
As soon as PMDG releases their 777 Iā€™ll empty my wallet.
Not only because I like this plane a lot but also to honor my bro and take his advice from cloud niner.
For the same reason I fly the viper in DCS.
Back to day to day operations: GA birds with steam gauges are my basic vehicles.

I fly mostly H145 helicopter, Kodiak 100, and F16 doing a lot of sight seeing, bush flying, and increasing my knowledge of geography. Though I have also flown many other aircraft including commercial jets, I keep coming back to these. I am gradually learning IFR navigation but mostly flying VFR so far.

Airliners, and regional airctaft. GA mainly with the Kodiak. But Airliners with a decent amount of systems operaional, with navigation as it should beā€¦ still lacking in MSFS.

I fly bush.

I pretty much only fly what is rated for single pilot operation in the real world.
