No, the ICAO
Iām aware that the IAOPA definition varies
In that case, indeed everything but airliners is GA.

The Carenado Seneca and the Flysimware Cessna Chancellor are an absolute must-have in every hangar
You can find list of Porters there: Pilatus Porter Current Status - www.pc-6.com
In short, military, police, small transport firms and skydiving firms. In France there seems to be a single one registered to private individual, though I guess those registered to small skydiving firms might functionally double as the ownerās aircraft. And I suppose skydiving operations in general fall under GA regardless.
Then again itās intended to be, well, a Porter. Itās a light transport plane, even if somebody uses it for GA. Just like MiG-21 is not a GA, even if some American owns it as a personal plane and uses it for non commercial purposes.
You donāt even need to spend any money
Bonanza Improvement Project gets my vote as well.
As you can tell by the answers, youāre really going to have to add a little more detail on what you mean by āGAā aircraft.
Single Engine?
Twin Engine?
Personal Transport?
Commercial Transport (i.e. small airlines (i.e. Cape Air) and commercial operators that fly between GA airports and lakes and bush strips)
Trainer?
High Performance?
General Aviation is just that, anything but the big airlines. Even Warbirds would be considered āGeneral Aviationā aircraft at the top level, although they fall more into the High Performance Experimental category.
For me, my favorite GA aircraft are the ones I do or would like to fly, single engine low to āmediumā performance aircraft. In the sim that would be planes like the C152 (thereās an excellent mod that makes it highly realistic), either of the C-172ās (Asobo is working very hard to make it highly realistic), the Bonanza Mod, the Carenado Mooney was my favorite at the start.
Top of my list:
Just Flight Warrior (I fly these)
AT Simulations Piaggio P.149 (I want to buy one of these someday, and I only learned of the plane through this addon).
Honorable mention would go to a Cherokee if there was one (I used to own one), and the Just Flight Arrows (but this would be the last high performance aircraft Iād consider owning, way too slow for how much they would cost to own and maintain).
MilViz Cessna 310R for sure. If a single engine is more your thing, the Bonanza G36 Improvement mod is quite nice.
I have the Kodiak 100 and the Cessna 310R, I would say the 310R is my favourite by far, you can own the aircraft and it get dirty as you use it and if you abuse itās likely to have a failure mid flight. Itās brilliant in VR also.
No Carenado in my MSFS hangar. Agree on the 414.
I like the Twin Otter a lot and prefer to fly it over the Kodiak. But, I have not flown the Kodiak since the last update, and many do like the Kodiak and I may like it after the update.
My biggest gripe with the Kodiak is slowing down. It just doesnāt want to. The bind for the reverse thrust is different that other planes. Hopefully those issues have been addressed.
You also have to feather the prop when slowing down since the engine takes a long time to slow down. Other Turbo Props slow down much easier.
I have no problems flying the Twin Otter, but really donāt like the handling of the Kodiak, but like I said, I havenāt flown it after the last two updates.
One really good this about the Twin Otter is that in come in many variants, regular landing gear, Tundra wheels, Skis, water pontons. So it a plane you can fly just about anywhere.
Great Bush plane!
This was fixed ages ago now. I think it was the first update after the initial release IIRC. Once you pull the power back she will slow nicely.
Itās been a while since I flew it as well. Do you know if itās using prop drag, or a hidden spoiler of some kind?
The Kodiak is good, the Sting S4 is good the 310 is apparently good but do not own it.
However it is hard to go past the Just Flight PA28ās .
I have all the Just Flight PA28ās.
The Arrow and Turbo Arrows are very very good yes.
BUT the JF PA28 Warrior II is another level again, it is spot on.
The Warrior II NZ south Island:
Canāt remember off hand but the release notes from back then may answer that. I remember feeling the difference.
Parallel 42 - Freedom Fox / Kit Fox
Milviz - PC-6/B Turbo-Porter
SWS Kodiak
MilViz PC6
No one? Thats just not true. There are enough peoples with (too?) much money and they buy a Kodiak solely for their Family-Weekend-Trips.
MilVis 310
Justflight Piper Arrow series, I prefer the IV Turbo.
The FreedomFox/Fox2 kitfox is also great.
By the definition of āanything thatās not schedād pax service,ā GA can be anything you want to fly as long as you have the cash. Even an A380 counts when itās owned by a Saudi prince.
As for the original question, my choices for GA would be the DA62 with the free mod for family outings, and the SWS Vans package when itās just me and the Mrs.
