Working Title G3000 MOD install

Yes these two screenshots confirm what you have stated above. The mod is not even installed and therefore the chart functionality from Navigraph are of course not available.

That is why I also asked for a screenshot of your community folder.

I will work on that today - tried yesterday, but was not successful. It took the picture, but did not show up in the gallery.

What should the folder look like in your Community folder?

Community
|
------> workingtitle-g3000

The above are folder names.

Inside the workingtitle-g3000 folder should be:

changes.md (file)
layout.json (file)
manifest.json (file)
README.md (file)
htlm_ui (folder)
ModelBehaviorDefs (folder)

The only difference is that the workingtitle-g3000 folder is within the workingtitle-g3000-v0.7.4 main folder - maybe that is the problem?

My folder:

Community

working title-g3000-v0.7.4

        workingtitle-g3000

          htmi_ui (folder)
          ModelBehaviorDefs (folder)
          Changes (MD File)
          layout.json (json file)
          manifest,json (json file)
          README (MD File)

Yep. You can’t have it inside the 0.7.4. It’s not working if configured that way. You need it the way I described earlier.

OK, I will do that!!

I am about to give up!! The workingtitle-g3000 folder is by itself in the Community folder. Opened MSFS, loaded the TBM 930, all screens are blank??!! ( I need to run some errands, I will be back shortley!!) Thanks for you assistance!!

I am back!! Any ideas why the screens are blank?

You need to clean out your community folder. Other installs (including all liveries) interfere with the G3000 mod, that’s why the screens are black. Once more… can’t you get a screenshot of your community folder before we spent another day guessing the problem?

After cleaning your community folder and you still have problems also uninstall if you have the G1000Nxi installed.

Is the G3000 now installed correctly as described by CasualClick?

Also did you confirm that you got the version 7.4a and not as you pointed out the version 7.4, which is not compatible with SU5?

I think that I can finally send a screenshot of my Community folder ( top and bottom ). I do have a number of liveries but nothing excessive. I have uninstalled the G1000NXI in my content folder. The G3000 is installed as a single folder. I do have version 7.4a from the working title website but in the download, it shows as version 7.4.

Uploading: Screenshot (4).png…

Hope this works!!

This is the second half - looks like there was a problem with the first try

That’s what I thought. As written above. The many installs you keep in your community folder interact negatively with the g3000 mod. Empty it ie move everything but the G3000 folder to a separate folder outside your community folder.

Confused about that!! Where do the airports and aircraft I have purchased go? Is there another folder to move all items to, except the g3000 mod , that will still remain active in the simulator?

All these have to be temporarily removed from the community folder and for that matter won’t be available in the sim. Move them to a safe place outside the community or any other MSFS folders.

One or more of your many community folder items is causing errors (eg blank screens), which is well known by now. Sorry that is the only way.

My bet would be on one of the many liveries…

The only way to identify the culprit is to copy each item back one by one and see which one causes the blank screens. I admit given the huge amount of stuff you have in there, this will be a tedious task.

The faster way to figure out which one is causing you problems is to take all the other mods and divide them into two.

Leave one half with the G3000 and launch the sim. If it works, you know the other half has the culprit.

Rinse and repeat, halving again until you find it

But I agree - start with removing all the Liveries first. That might be a quick way.

Thank you!! I really appreciate your help with this problem!! I will do everything both of you have suggested to see what is causing this dilemma. Sure seems like a strange way to do things!! But I probably will not start tonight - I need to get away from this computer!! Thanks again!

I have a suggestion to get the community folder better under control
( thecommunity folder is realy gettin messy over the time )

first of all create a file structure e.g. on root of drive H: (.. no more to long filenames !!! problems )
Structure like :
-scenery ( eg with subfolder for continents etc )
-liveries ( eg with subfolders for A320 / TMB etc etc )
-mods
-tools
then use this

https://de.flightsim.to/file/1572/msfs-addons-linker

msfs addonlinker can create symbolic links

Try it .. you can simple enable and disable items there

I have been avoiding this problem by flying other aircraft. I have accomplished everything that has been suggested above - removed everything from my Community folder, leaving only the G3000 folder ( Version 7.4a ) uninstalled the G1000NXI in my content folder, loaded the TBM 930 only to find the screens blank. Is there something I am missing?!!! Your help, again, will be appreciated!!
