I know they have cleaned up the Bing images for the game but for non-game use I have always found Google Maps much better. I use LittleNavMap with Google sat map within it and so can directly compare Bing vs Google while in the game. I hope Bing will update its imagery soon.
As others have said this is a flight game so we shouldn’t worry too much about the image rez as we dont want a slide show. But Bing does have issues - like a straight line I saw in Australia. On one side there was a sat pic but the other was empty with the immersion breaking line.
As for the maps themselves I still find Google more usable. Same area comparison (Iloilo airport area, Philippines)
