Xbox @ gamescom 2025

Just watched the trailer and all the photogrammetry cities the show off (like Kiel, Bremen, Leipzig, Dresden, Augsburg,….) have been in the game since MSFS 2020. What am I missing?

City update 12 is 2020 but no EC135 :sob: Why does it have to be exclusive as all other 2024 local legends and famous fliers are also in 2020 ie cap 4, piper Dakota, 185F Skywagon

I would think it may be coming to 2024 but via a Marketplace update, so possibly tomorrow. It’s also possible that the improved flight model in 2024 specifically affecting rotorcraft may have made this one tougher to backport to 2020 or develop in both sims simultaneously.

“Previous” local legends are available in 2020, but of course Microsoft is only going to make new planes for the new sim. They are still supporting what 2020 had (as promised), but new things go in the new sim.

They worked to harmonize scenery so that 2020 would benefit from updated scenery (and likely this was to avoid having to support 2 different petabyte pools of Bing map data).

That is still weird to as mentioned the new LL and FF aircraft that where released for 2024 are also released for 2020

According to the YouTube release video, the EC135 is developed by Nemeth Designs. I hope to be positively surprised, but I doubt it

Just to help anyone out for getting stuff in MSFS 2024;
City Update XII you have to activate via the Marketplace, while the Eurocopter is automatically added to your Library

Today I learned that Leipzig is the greenest city on the planet.

No idea if that issue affects other cities in CU12 as well, or photogrammetry in FS24 generally.
I only checked out Leipzig and decided I’d give SU3/CU12 a couple of days to… erm… ripen.

bei mir ist es genau so schade hoffe das dass vlt behoben wird

Translated from de by Microsoft

It’s just as sad for me, hope that VLT will be fixed

I was wondering why they would release a “City Update” of cities that were already in the Sim. And cities in the trailer were exactly like the ones we had. So while in the trailer they showed off the OLD PG data, the new ones are new scans, yes, but ugly green. The picture is one of the buildings in the trailer. This is what it looks like now in the sim. Not really an update.:face_with_diagonal_mouth:

Microsoft marketing does what it wants, it’s all theater, with little accountability. It says “in-game footage” but in fact it’s not true in game footage, as evidenced by the lack of movement of flight controls when the plane banks, etc. I no longer trust any of the marketing or promo videos from MSFS.

The focus on German cities is likely for marketing / political / licensing purposes, not aimed at customers, but at partners. Just my guess.

It would be awesome to see a couple of South Africa towns such as Johannesburg, Cape Town, Pretoria, etc instead, would be outstandingly exotic or exotically outstanding.

I agree. ASOBOS biggest users with feedback are simmers not your fortnite and COD gamers.

Yes, well… that’s pretty much a political topic for these regions.
