1.18.13.0 CTD - 'AI OFFLINE' may be the problem

For me the problem seems to be AI OFFLINE.

Turn AI ‘OFF’ or ‘REAL-TIME ONLINE’ and no more CTD’s…

Happy days…hopefully…

I confirm, Traffic was turned from AI Traffic to Online Traffic - CTD went away. Tried all other fixes (Cleared out community folder, adjusted virtual RAM, windows/fullscreen, 3rd party) none of which helped with crash to desktop.

Update: 20 minutes into flight. I have had only one significant game stutter. No crash. Running on full Ultra settings with amazing frame rate.

This is a known issue.

Known issue - yes.

I merely stated that, for ‘this’ CTD issue regarding ‘this’ update, this is what solved the problem for me…hoping to save other users some time and trouble…

@ Optochronic463 - Thank you for confirming.

Should the position be like this?

‘AI OFFLINE’ is the setting that caused my CTD’s…

Set AI (AIRCRAFT TRAFFIC TYPE) to either ‘OFF’ or ‘REAL-TIME ONLINE’ and my CTD’s stopped.

I put it on REAL-TIME ONLINE and still crashing and restarting the computer, so tired of this and every time the computer restarts itself

Sorry to hear…

Just a thought…
Do you use ‘ROLLING CACHE’ (DATA menu) ?
If you do, you may want to delete it and turn it back on to load it new…

No my rolling cache is OFF

Exactly the same ! i ve done all was written here , community folder empty ,
deleting the cache file also … But Nothing worked !
I had no CTD before the last update of july 27th ; All went ok before this release , even with my HP Reverb G2 and my old graphic card 1080 GTX 8 Go ( settings on low of course ) …but my nvidia drivers were updated …and there was no CTD , no crash , nothing before today !

Today , after the install went ok , i can t play no more , i have CTDs without showing any message ,
the only way is to look at the event viewer , the last one is ( in french because i live in France )

My AI is set to real-time and i have non-stop CTD’s. Not using rolling cache or mods.

another issue , starting cold and dark … but the tank selector no longer works (tested on Cirrus SR22 and C172)
Do anyone has got the same issue ?

I don’t think that Flight Simulator is the root cause of your issue. Your computer is restarting? You seem to have other, more severe problems that do not originate from the running of this program. Look into other windows and pc issues. Check your drivers and hardware.

I am having this issue game is unplayable now. CTD every 5 mins.

Yes I have…

last chance , i have tried this
put AI traffic on Real time , even tried on inactive … Both seems to work !

No more CTD , by the way , the cirrus SR 22 flown on autopilot mode for 1 H without CTD !: Great § thanks for the tip
