I just got this too.
I noticed that I had two install folders. One under C:\XBoxGames and the other under C:\users etc where the game is normally installed. I think it’s because I initially installed the game through the Xbox app. I decided the 2nd time to install it through the Microsoft Store and it installs to the C:\users location.

it only works once after the restart the message comes back, you have to wait for their update of the bug
FYI there is small folder you can delete which only weighs 20KB, it’s the metar one.
This really silly why they cant sort it out

You just have to redo and delete that small folder and play the game. Better than uninstalling and reinstalling the entire game to face the same missing packages message.
Until they fix it, it is a minor annoyance I can live with.

What was the reason for the issue to begin with? Anyone know?
No idea how it all started…In my case, I launched the sim and was greeted by missing packages yesterday. Glad it is over now!!! Cheers
confirmed mine is now fixed. It must of been a server issue?
What. Is ur guys size to download packages when reinstall mine said 469
I wonder if it was related to my issue that caused me a big frigging headache on (2) systems.
I’m currently in the process of doing complete re-installs of everything. Man I’m spent.

I did 5 reinstalls today plus OS re-install!! That is something. Lol. The final reinstall, I learned from here that there was no need to install and uninstall anything. Just delete a folder and reject the update…That is what I did and enjoyed few flights. An hour ago, I decided to launch and somehow I accepted the update in the main page. Took about 20 seconds. Anyway, one thing from this ordeal, don’t uninstall anything. Come to this forum and check what is going on. Uninstall and reinstall was just painful and tiring experience. Cheers

I checked back when I first started the thread and didn’t notice a slew of folks posting about anything similar. It sure would have been nice had Asobo/MS made mention of a server related issue. Perhaps that is something that should be ran when the sim starts up notifying folks.
I was in the same boat as you with my desktop and laptop. Doing the desktop now and will deal with laptop later. That is a day I will never get back…and I’m still not done. If anything is to be taken from this it is…this is a big negative of having a program tied so deep to the internet.
