Quick flight to try this update out on Xbox series x. Took the A20N for a quick spin (EGPD to EGPH) and got a WASM crash at 50ft when FLARE mode became active - so not the best start

Edit: to clarify the nature of the WASM crash, the aircraft suddenly went into direct law mode, pitching up wildly and becoming very hard to control. Throttles became unresponsive and cockpit could no longer be interacted with

I have to say super well done Asobo! The CTD’s I was getting after the massive stutter fest’s in .18 and earlier seem to have been resolved.
I did a quick flight in the Inibuilds A350 from Inibuilds EGKK to FlyTampas EHAM. Whilst a couple stutters at EGKK which is a vast improvement from before (I used to always get avionic blackouts followed by CTD whilst preparing from cold and dark at EGKK) i thought to stress test it by panning camera around a lot in multiple directions and swapping from external to cockpit views a lot expecting it to CTD and it did not. Once airborne it was the smoothest it’s been in a long time! During landing the stutters were a little more severe compared to departure. Stutters and mini freezes got more extreme as I was taxiing from 18R towards the airport. I continued to stress test it with camera movements and swapping views. This only caused the stutters to get worse but once I stopped movement it settled back down and the stutters regressed back to intermittently. Again no CTD’s or black avionics. :clap: Asobo. I can finally start seeing some light towards the end of the tunnel.

My first flight was going really well - smooth (enough) with no landing stutter at KDAL. It was in the C172 g1000 from KACT to KDAL13L with live weather and live traffic. I had landed and had taxied back a bit and then stopped for a passing 737 and the sim froze and then CTD. I was done anyway.

Will see what tomorrow brings.

Attempts 1-3 IFR CYKA-CZBB

Attempt 1: Flight plan not properly loaded from EFB to avionics, no Arrival airport, missing waypoints, unelectable approach.

Managed to manually add waypoints and decided to get airborne before looking for a way to do load and RNAV approach at destination but able to do VFR approach and landing if not possible to load IFR approach.

Startup was smooth but some weird throttle behavior while taxiing.

Takeoff ok, no stutters/jitter, though flight plan is not working properly in avionics.

Once at cruise, I start to edit the flightplan to get my RNAV approach and manage to coax the avionics to allow the approach to be selectable, hit save….CTD…. Bummer

Attempts 2-3 CYKA-CZBB IFR
EFB does not transfer flightplan to avionics, either time. Exit sim both times and restart, and do a whole system restart for 4th attempt.

Attempt 4, using Asobo TBM930
CYKA-CYXX IFR

Lag, lag, lag, lag….
Even though I have a controller profile for the TBM, FS2024 does not select it. Trying to scroll through the various setups takes for ever so makes even the most trivial access to this feature feel like a root canal. Not matter, I grind out the wait and select the 930 profile, all while things are toggling off and on. Once the proper profile is selected things settle down, except for the seconds long lag.

Power on, preflight done, examine the flightplan and it loaded! Excellent, then the avionics toggle off/on and the flightplan is gone, though it IS able to be uploaded from the EFB (the first time this has ever worked for me) so I make sure the flight plan is ready and tune to departure freq. then avionics toggle off/on and no more flightplan. This happens 2 more times, and with the lag and frustration of spending 2 hours at the controls and only getting into the air for 12 minutes on my inaugural flight if the evening, I exited out of the sim.

I would say that this version in not better than 1.5.18.0.

Frustrated with the 1 step forward, 2 steps back. Maybe one day this sim will work, but honestly I am not hopeful this will happen any time soon.

In my testing experience I did not use or even open the in sim EFB. I have found that when I do use it then performance really drops and an inevitable CTD to follow with the previous builds. I was going to test using the in sim EFB tonight/over the weekend to see if it had improved. I guess not after your experience :confused:

Is anyone getting the pink runways again. I loaded up the a350 at Heathrow earlier but couldn’t fly long as I’ve gone away for a few days. I’ll have to check when I get home if runways are still pink

I have not seen any pink runways but I don’t fly the A350 and I haven’t been to EGLL(?) yet in FS24.

My flying today was around Detroit with annoyingly low and dark clouds considering the GFA and METAR indicated ceiling of 12000 feet – thats why I went there.

but no CTD today.

Something strange is going on in beta su3 .19
that defies the logic and it doesn’t really make it easy to report specific issues because it is intermittent and lots of different issues.

I took a flight YMML - YSCB

On ground, request for taxi clearance was basically a programming code readout with characters dashes numbers words underscores that made no sense. But taxi clearance was back to normal (with usual underscores in the readout)

On climb AP disconnected

I managed to regain the control and put the plane back on flight path.

During cruise AP disconnected again. Lost control but managed to regain control.

On approach (manual below 1000 feet) again at around 300-500 feet AGL TOGA LK mode got activated, although I was above the minimum speed in fact 9 knots above landing speed. Headwind was 14 knots no gusts. controls became only barely responsive I somehow managed to control it and had to use manual thrust.

Absolutely bizarre behaviour with so many things wrong that it is hard to pin point what to report.

Maybe it is the updated version of A320 Inibuilds. But I had no issues on the first day after the update only in the last 24 -48 hrs, which is why it is challenging to to figure out what to report and what specific criteria.

I wonder whether it’s something to do with panel update rate slowing down in areas where more graphical processing is going on?
I’ve noticed little things SU2 and all these betas - e.g., aircraft nosewheel steering failing on taxi in areas with lots of static aircraft or buildings on ramp, and more recently reversers on A320 staying on full power after landing at EHRD, refusing to respond to any control input for 10s…. So perhaps I’m not totally surprised by this.
I’m struggling with this build and last night was the worst it’s been for me. Slow, laggy menus, long free flight launch times, and big stutters and late pop ins everywhere. Nothing stable to see…
