CZBB-CYLW
CYBL-CYLW
CAT4-CYNJ
Conditions:

Aircraft:
Carenado B60T msfs2020
Carenado F33A msfs2024
Issues:
CTD on 2 flights and 1 restart. I spent more time building flight plans than actual flying.
Activating the Nav button on Alpha throttle caused the first CTD (CZBB-CYLW, B60T). Required system restart because the crash just gave a black screen while the Xbox button cycled.
CYBL-CYLW
Honeycomb yoke and throttle cycling after Fly Now was selected and I was forced to exit the app and restart because the button cycling made the flight impossible. (F33A)
CAT4-CYNJ
Diverted to CYCD using direct to on Garmin 530 (F33A). Selecting the enter button on the Garmin, after inputting direct to airport (CYCD) caused immediate CTD.
I spent about 1.5 hours building plight plans, doing preflight and start up checklists only to have flight sim CTD while my departure airports were still in sight.
So far, this has been the least stable version of flight sim (2020/2024) I’ve experienced to date. Super frustrating. Read in the release notes that the update included a CTD fix - I don’t think it worked as intended.
Performance:
Transitioning from drone mode to cockpit view resulted in blurry instruments - the previous version seemed to fix that, though I didn’t check to see if the downloaded and installed aircraft I was using were still downloaded and installed. The aircraft acted as if they were still being streamed.
Last thing: while doing my walk around with the F33, I forgot to grab the pitot cover. Leaving this on makes it hard to determine one’s airspeed, haha (and was the reason for my diversion to CYCD). Woulda been an interesting side trip and story if the CTD(s) didn’t dominate my experience tonight.
