I’ve downloaded everything I can and have 1gb internet, but it makes no difference at all. My testing area is the Los Angeles area. When I bring up Dev mode fps counter, everything will be in the green (7800x3d, 4090, 64gb ram). While flying, I’ll get lag spikes along with headphone crackling, especially when I look around. During these lag spikes, lag ms will rise from low 40-60 all the way up to over 200. Doesn’t matter what type of plane I fly. This has been a problem since the first update. I should mention there have been time when I fly with no problems at all (very rare). Servers just seem inconsistent. Also, when I fly around London area ms lag stays in the 140 and above range.

Why not let you choose whether to activate telemetry or not? What’s the problem if I just want to have fun every now and then? On xbox x it is clearly unplayable with airliners, I would like to be able to provide useful data but sometimes deactivate telemetry to have more realistic feedback on the state of the sim. I add that since providing data is an Xbox privacy setting, the mandatory transmission of data could also be considered a violation

Performance in 1.5.8.0 somewhat down from 1.5.7.0. It stuttered more. But that could be because I was toying around with the weather. It was not a big deal. But I rated this 1.5.8.0 a 6, but I gave the 1.5.7.0 a 7. I rate 1.5.8.0 a 6 due to the stuttering. I will say though that 1.5.8.0 recovered well. I kept throwing everything I had at it to crash the sim. It was resilient in the Cessna 208. It would stutter for 15 seconds, but it would come back. I threw everything at it: slew, drone, external views, multitask to XBox Home, weather. It took 4 hours to crash it. I really want to give it a 7, but it was stuttering heavily after the weather changes. So I dropped it to a 5. Keep up the good work. The last build I gave a 7. You’ll get that again. Keep these improvements coming. It’s really becoming harder to crash with Cessnas!!
Ok! I think I set a new record of 9 hours straight in the 737 Max from a cold and dark startup on XBox Series X 1.5.8.0. Most everything is improved except the EFB which is still unclickable in pop up mode.
I flew Anchorage to Fairbanks and back, then down to Homer. I was able to enjoy all views. It is getting better. Fix the EFB and this will begin to move into a new good category of performance and usage. But the EFB is messed as I have said oodles of times. EFB on XBox pops up but is unclickable.
But this sim is far better now than in all previous updates. But still it needs improving because it did stutter tonight and I still CTD it after 9 hours. But I changed my overall rating up a notch.
