Reminder:
Add-ons/Mods/Community content are not official Microsoft Flight Simulator products and may cause issues with the Build. If you encounter any issues, move ALL add-ons from the Community Folder to another temporary folder (on the desktop for instance) then try again. If the issue stops, add back the community content one by one until you find the add-on that is causing the issue.

Performance wise it’s like I have FS2024 running on a new PC all of a sudden. Stutters gone , FPS increased. Thank you Asobo, whatever you did worked performance wise smoothest this sim has been since release. (5950x/3090/64GB/DLSS PERF/4K/Win11(24H2)/nvidia 581.29 driver)
Performance “good” (nearly great) is finally back for me with this build, comparably like 1.6.3 was. Tried out some extreme scenery (KLAX, EGLL etc.) and smaller airports and got very good overall smoothness, but occasional small stutters are still coming up (and rarely a bigger stutter, but that might be related to my new sim installation and cleared buffers).
5800X3D, 7900XTX, 32GB 3200, Win11 Steam, 4K TAA with AMD FMF 2.1 active
Pls don’t mess it up again with the next builds; we’re slowly getting close to “great”
[1.6.3.0] was something special.
I’m still flying with Series S until I get a Sim PC, but one thing I know for sure: Build 1.6.3.0 was incomparable to the other builds. For whatever reason, they don’t realize that this build should be the absolute starting point. Especially since many in the forum had praised it so highly.
Unlike [1.6.5.0] and [1.6.7.0], this one [1.6.11.0] is better. But it’s no match for [1.6.3.0].
On the other hand, night lighting has improved think after [1.6.3.0].
With [1.6.3.0], everything was just perfect.
Then came the improved night lighting, which was better, but you couldn’t feel anything from [1.6.3.0] anymore.
Flew from KPHX to KLAX. Performance is fantastic! Maxed out aside from Terrain LOD at 300. Very good FPS and not coming across stutters. Looking around with TrackIR is quite enjoyable as it’s butter smooth.
I am astounded at how good performance is in this build. I’m in the iFly MAX8 (one of my worst-performing airliners) at Drzewiecki’s KMDW (streamed) with same developer’s Chicago Landmarks in the background, running BATC traffic, and seeing 90-100+ fps with the aircraft powered up and ready to pushback and start. (1440p, TAA, 200 TLOD, 200 OLOD, most settings on Ultra).

Performance Feedback (Positive)
I am very impressed with the optimization in this SU4 build. I completed a full flight from Las Vegas to San Diego and experienced a noticeable performance improvement compared to the previous public release.
Importantly, I was able to increase my Level of Detail (LOD) setting from 150 to 200. The simulator handled this perfectly with smooth frame rates throughout the entire flight, including final approach into San Diego. Core performance and visual fidelity are clearly moving in the right direction.
Bugs / Issues Noticed
AI Traffic is currently unstable and erratic at airports. Traffic behavior was “completely out of control”, performing very strange taxi and gate maneuvers, which made the airport environment highly unrealistic.
Please review the AI traffic logic. Aside from this, congratulations to the team on the excellent performance improvements in SU4!
It’s like Christmas came a few months early. Performance 9.5/10 still getting those few jitters after landing for the first 10-15 seconds then it normalizes. This coupled with the improved night lighting is peak simming at night. I can finally kick back with the sim turned to a low roar, throw some chill Lofi tunes, take a few sips of my beverage for the evening and relax. No more chasing things. It just works. 9950X3D and RTX 4090 with driver 581.42
*If you haven’t updated to latest NVIDIA driver of 581.42, it’s worth it. Just make you delete your caches after installing and enjoy the ride.
I have to agree. My specs are identical to yours except I have the 9950x3d. This is the best performance has been for me in the sim. And fps is no longer lower at arrival airports.
