ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue: New stutters and LOD issues seem to be really consistent in this update compared to previous ones. I have my sim locked at in game fps of 40 with FG bringing it to a locked 80fps in 4k. I get these random spike hits that were not there before and I’ve noticed LOD also having a significant impact on loading and distance draws. I have a OLED 240hz 4k monitor as well so I don’t push to even achieve half of that refresh rate while flying cause its very hard to do so with my current build. I’ve noticed significant changes to the timing of frames as well which has for me doubled in this update which doesn’t seem right. My current internets download speed is around 900-1k gbs and upload averages around 60-70. The Vram is in really good shape for 4k compared to others so I’m happy about that but the micro stutters and issues with timings on frames really hurts the immersion and feel of flying. I do use Vatsim and Elevatex but once again before its never been an issue and I don’t think these are causing an issue in the sim. Flying without them also still brings the issue regardless. I added 2 screenshots below to showcase what I see from the in game developer mode and fps showing. My frame timing before the update was always around 12.5 and now ranges from 18-25 which is a pretty massive jump. Would love to hear the feedback and hope there’s a fix.

We have a similar setup in terms of 4K and 240Hz display.

I don’t use the utilities/services you mention and I’m flying GA into small rural to semi-rural, mostly auto-gen airports and I get stutters on final/landing/rollout/taxi. Often I fly VFR with no ATC, no traffic, no static, no workers, no airport services. If i do fly IFR, I use BATC with FSLTL models and all the aforementioned remain off.

I’ve been seeing these on/off consistently with SU4 for a while now. Since I see them when I fly VFR, they clearly aren’t BATC/FSLTL-related.

I’ve really struggled to make sense of what the cause of them is.

I feel like I have consistently seen performance issues with those of us using native 4K that others using 1440 and below are not, generally, experiencing.

Im getting them on both to be honest. I currently having playing around with both 2k and 4k and it still shows the issues mentioned above. I do get a higher fps count obviously with 2k and more Vram but that shouldn’t alter what we see in terms of performance with the sim in a negative way.
