I can’t even remove the overlayed instrument (despite having Settings→General→Flight Interface->Hud in cockpit View set to OFF
EDIT after relaunching MSFS, HUD Instruments are correctly OFF. But I still have the “SHIFT+C Exit Aircraft” window ;(
EDIT #2 : Hud instruments re-appeared after external view. And cannot be removed.
Toggling it on and back off doesn’t get rid of it, either. sigh
EDIT: I tried quitting the flight and restarting which gets rid of it, but if I hit ESC and then go back into the flight deck, it happens again. Heck of a regression there, folks. :\
This is just a single line at the bottom of the screen. How the heck did they miss THIS?
I can only presume their internal testing is people who aren’t very familiar with the sim and need a reminder, and also play by flying arcade-style with the HUD turned on all the time.
The HUD Display (in cockpit) has reappeared when airborne, getting into the menu, then getting back in cockpit. And no way to remove it.
Will continue testing and may open a new post.
If I set “HUD in External View” to Off, I do not get the spurious HUD in the cockpit view. Of course, that means no HUD at all in External view for those who prefer that, but for me, this workaround will do until this bug gets fixed.
I think MS shoudl add this to take whole screen that will be something that will stop many people to play this game so problem will be resolved immediately:p
