Airport ID for ref pls?
aaah I see it now, ok.
Definitely some NAV data source issue.
So your first init post missing your NAV data source used, I have Navigraph data. Simply, if I sit on Bratislava airport, I have all same available on C172 and also on TBM. This airport has some NAV data source problem.
Yes as answer, I can confirm this also at my sim now.
I think the sim implementation of the G1000 and G3000 filter available approaches differently based on how they are coded in the nav data. That may be what’s happening here.
The Working Title Discord server would be a good place to ask.
I checked the charts. The VNKY RNAV RNP approaches are all AR (Authorization Required) approaches, which the G3000 in the TBM is not certified to fly, thus they are filtered out in the list of available approaches.
Pls check that LZIB RNP approaches are, only for sure.
From what I can see, RW 22 and RW31 RNP approaches at LZIB are not AR approaches.
The bug here is that I think the G1000NXi should also be filtering out VNKY RNP AR approaches, but that hasn’t been fixed yet.
eeeeeh
I don’t like to see that I’m not authorized for something like that
So does this mean in the real world Garmin avionics are not allowed to do RNAV approaches into VNKT?
No.
If you have chance, try another aircraft and do approach Kathmandu if that options (RNP app) will shows this can be then easy to understand why yes and why not.
Just because a RNav approach exists, it does not mean that all GPS system or planes can fly that approach, and if they cannot, in RL they do not even allow you to select it , as they do not include it in their specific database.
Example: The WT GNS530 does NOT even display RNav approaches that it cannot use in RL, while the old Asobo version of the GNS530, allowed you to select ANY of the published Rnav approaches, ( which was incorrect).
That’s the option that he need to test Is really true that our in sim C172 is authorized for that?
Folks - please raise this with Working Title on their Discord. They don’t necessarily monitor all these forum threads. Or put in a Zendesk ticket and it’ll get routed to them.
Hondajet seems to show all the approaches though even if its using g3000. Maybe somebody should try it in actual g1000 or g3000 and make a video.
