2 monitors

computer has nvidia geforce rtx 3060 ti can i use 2 monitors while flying a bush trip and move small 2 wimdows onto second monitor ? tnx for any help provided

Yes, if the aircraft you are flying has windows that can be popped out (such as the G1000) then you can move them to another monitor after they have been popped out.

Keep in mind, there is a performance (FPS) hit the instant you pop one out.

How bad, depends on system and configuration so it may take some trial and error to see what works best for you.

If you are popping out, check out Air Manager, and SimStrumentation.

move small 2 windows onto second monitor ?

What will the windows display?

I would like to move the flight plan window to 2 monnitor

I recommend that you use the second monitor to have other utilities on screen, such as Little Navmap. You can have the flight plan and a lot of other information and you won’t have any performance loss.

What flight planner are you using? I would second the use of Little NavMap for flight planning and that app can simply be dragged onto the two monitors, wherever you want it .

If you’re using the built-in MSFS flight planner (World Map), you are out of luck. I don’t believe you can move that by itself.

The MSFS map, where you can view your flight plan, can be popped-out, as mentioned above, by clicking the center button (the box with an arrow pointing to the upper right-hand corner of the box) of the VFR Map window. You can then drag the map to wherever you want on the two monitors.

Hope that helps!

If you’re just popping out the MFD (Multi-Function Display) and the PFD (Primary Flight Display), they don’t take all that much in the way of resources (just a few colors, low resolution, and you can set them to refresh slower in the general controls settings).

Anything else, the only answer is try it.

I second (or third) Little NavMap. I use 3 monitors and one is dedicated to LNM. Don’t leave home without it…

tnx for the msg i tried to load Little NavMap think it is beyond my ability to use i’l keep trying but it is like going fromt the fry pan to the fire

No it isn’t. It is very powerful and looks confusing. There are many functions, most of them you may never use. It is very easy to create a flight plan. You then export it to MSFS. The program links automatically to MSFS. The instructions are very good. I would venture to say that the majority of MSFS simmers use it.

I’m sure there are lots of people who will help you get started. Were you able to download and unzip the LNM package? If you got that far, you’re halfway there, I’ll help you get started.
My number one source of help is the author of the program, Alex Barthel. He’s very responsive and answers questions promptly.

Little Nav Map (LNM) may seem complicated as it has a lot of buttons and menu items, but if you follow the tutorials included things will begin to make sense and you’ll be making flight plans with it sooner than you think. I know it can seem overwhelming at first, but if you get stuck, just ask and you’ll get help

LNM is awesome, really great tool. To get started, you might want to explore YouTube videos. For example the videos by Jonathan Beckett will help a lot.

My main monitor is a 27" 1440p 165Hz monitor and I use a 24" 1080p 60Hz monitor as a secondary display. There I have LittleNavMap, SimToolKitPro, OBS and Edge open. I really can’t miss this secondary monitor anymore. It’s so convenient.

I also use an older tablet with Touch Portal for easy switching between different camera views and/or setting airplane lights or other controls. And when I just booted my PC, I start every app I need for MSFS via Touch Portal.
