2 quick questions

Hi there! I have 2 things that I have still have not cleared up since I joined the MSFS community a few days ago. Both are with the mechanics in game.

  1. When you set your callsign ex. Delta 2004, 4 random digits appear after your callsign even tho you never put that in your callsign. Why is that?
    2 examples below

2.When I begin decent the autopilot goes really slow down (100-350fpm). How may I change that while still keeping an autopilot decent? Thanks in advance all!

When in the world map, go into where you set your tail number / call sign (forget what it’s called at the moment).

Seems to have a few things in there.

Did not remove it in any way. Also what about the decent

There’s a call sign field and there’s a flight number field; you need to fill each one out separately on this screen, like “DELTA” and “2004” – not “DELTA 2004” and blank:

Ahh alright it worked. Thanks! But what about question 2. It literally goes 150fpm even tho I put it to go like 1800

Lmk if I am doing anything wrong

Anyone expirience the same or have found a solution?

You are currently in alt managed mode. VS will not do anything if there’s a dot shown. to actually activate VS mode, you’ll have to pull(? or push) in order to change your vertical mode from DES to VS -2300.

What @Exodious33 stated is exactly correct.

I suggest doing a quick read on how the Autopilot works (managed / open / etc) it’s not super complicated, it’s just different from other systems.

But quickly;

  • Managed climb/descent (pushing the ALT knob)
  • Open climb/descent (pulling the ALT knob)
  • An angle (set an angle and pull the V/S knob)
  • A V/S (set a vertical speed and pull the V/S knob)
