Whew, almost as grueling as actually riding the course (just kidding). I have finished mapping each stage as flight plans for this years Tour de France. Also, just for fun, I created a nearly 1700 nm flight plan that touches each stages start-end points, from Nice, to the Champs-Elysees. I hope you enjoy it if you decide to give it a shot! All of the files are on my Github
Thanks for this. Will give it a shot tomorrow do you have any plans for a RTW flight? I’d love to collaborate with you in planning one. Probably will use the Bonanza for your Tour de France plans!
THANK YOU! I flew some of the early stages jumping between Little Nav Map and the posted route maps. This is a treat!
Hello Angernerve. I am very interested in SOME DAY tackling any sort of RTW flight, and associated planning. But there is not enough “spare time” for me currently. So what I would like to work on beyond this, is to dive deeper into proper flight planning, and use a bit smaller more focused regional or state-wide scale, using mostly real-world rules and methodologies. These I have posted for the TDF, mainly just follow roads.
That being said, if you happen to have any updates on any RTW plans (I have seen one on Google), post them here! Someday I will have the time to log those kinds of miles
Take care,
Scott
