not yet, but the SU2 changelog has a long list of alleged fixes. I say “alleged” because as we know from SU1, some truly egregious game breaking bugs were alleged to have been “fixed” where in reality cough PC-12 oxygen system cough they had not. I guess we’ll wait and see.
I’ll hold off until su2 is released publicly then gives me time to add a few more m to the pot.
Frustrating as it feels like we’re being held back massively and even with Fenix aircraft I simple like career mode as gives me objectives and actually something to show at the end.
Hope they overhaul career soon as the atc etc all needs sorting
SU2 changelog:
Same thing happens if you land short btw.
Thanks for the heads up, I didn’t know that. I haven’t found myself in that situation… yet
Plenty of long floats though
Someone posted here about the lack of definition for grass strip landings. Both side to side and threshold/touchdown zone. I’ve definitely been dinged on these for sure!
Same here, never know whats gonna happen on grass.
Noticed in SU2 heavy airliner certification is still locked so we are no closer to using anything larger than the 737 in career mode since Nov release, which is really disappointing.
One of the fun things that has been plaguing me lately is the 18 hour missions in the 737. If you try to up the sim rate at all, you get a nasty trim glitch that makes your plane look like a dolphin, and fails you on passenger comfort, but if you skip to descent, the game doesn’t pause, so while it is loading in the new scenery, your plane’s autopilot turns off, and it stalls and you come to falling out of the sky.
Another fun one is the ATC glitch, where two centers fight for your flight. Constantly handing you back and forth repeatedly for hours. In MSFS 2004 we had ATC that were realistic, and since it is abandonware, can’t they just download it and take a look at the code that was used it it? I personally have live ATC playing in another window for realism, and the stark difference between Real Life ATC and the game is … noticable
Great to know. Im starting to see them pop up in the SU2 beta, however to my rotten luck VIP flights arent acsccesable in the Beta. However I have certainly seen more of what this Sim is capable of in SU2. Hopefully they keep on keeping going!
CTD…Sim shows a flicker of its true potential…CTD
Thats my experience so far. A least Asobo are sticking with it and attempting to make 2024 work.
Night Flights in CM, whilst I welcome them, are generally too long and in more than 3/4 you are landing at a dimly lit (if lit at all) runway. However I would tentatively say this is a step in the right direction. Whilst I do wish I could fly my VIP flights I understand these have been revmoved from the Beta, with the understanding that a fix is required. My luck lol.
That said my main issue is that anytime I attempt a career flight in the MAX I experience a CTD within 10m or so from engine start. It seems the more complex the avionics/physics the more the system struggles. But it is a hell of lot better than on release, Ill happily concede. And ive been having a hell of a lot of fun extinguishing fires and doing the Helo missions.
Also, general loading times have been significantly reduced which is most welcome.
One question, has the pressurization problem with the Pilatus been resolved? Thank you.
PC-12 pressurization is not slated to be fixed until SU2. There is however an interim fix that can be downloaded from flightsim.to.
Here is the link. Works perfect.
Beats me why Asobo cant implement these kind of bugfixes faster. I mean, some good fellow from the community’s did their job. Can be copy, change a little and paste
Not only for this bug but there are many others workarrounds available
https://flightsim.to/file/88952/pc12-ngx-pressurization-fix-msfs2024
Makes you wonder how a 42kb .cfg file fix is available from flightsim.to but the developers were not able to do it.
I just gave up on Career Mode, it’s hopeless, and the fixes necessary to make it decent would take too long to implement at this rate.
especially as they promote quick fixes as one of the benefits of streaming most content
<insert video of the late, lamented El Risitas (the “laughing Spanish comedian”) reading the pitch for the benefits of streaming content here.>
Noticed I’ve been given another billion credits for SU2 beta career mode
Well spotted! This is specifically for users on the SU2 Beta Branch, where you will now receive extra credits to allow you the opportunity to buy as many planes as possible and test as much as possible.
Of course there is the caveat that as announced in the Release Notes for v1.4.7.0, any progress or credits from the SU2 Beta Branch will NOT carry over once the SU2 Beta is finished, and you will revert back to your progress state prior to entering into the beta!
