Launching from the Xbox App. I’m getting to the Loading SimObjects screen, then CTD. Most recent attempt I made it to 14% 782/1011.
I’ve restarted the PC numerous times. Looks like it’s loading smoothly and quickly until the CTD. All Windows updates applied, as well as all Microsoft Store updates.
Does this seem like a symptom that would be caused by the server overloading?
It’s not you alone, I am facing the similar issues. I checked my ram with Mamtest86, one ram came to be faulty replace with new ram and still it CTD.
Error 0xc0000005 on event log
Same over here, reaches about 12-17% then CTD, used default BIOS settings to eliminate any source of possible unseen over clocking with no luck, used several nVidia drivers with same issue, unplugged all my peripherals and still same issue, took me more than 12Hrs so far.
Oh well.
not my day.
I have CTD constantly at 57-58% as well . After first install i change some settings like 60% screen resolution and raytraced shadows and from low to medium settings.
Restart and havent logged in again CTD. Tried the repair option as well
Latest W10 and Nvidia drivers
Per a post here on the Forums, I closed Riva Tuner and all other background apps that “hook” onto the sim code for performance monitoring. I’ll add them back one at a time once the dust settles.
Try shutting down (completely) any apps like those. I’ve been restarting my PC so often it made sense to removed them from Startup as well.
I also renamed my 2020 Community folder per a tip I saw here on the Forums. Not sure if it made a difference but I was desperate for things to try.
Another post said to remove all Overclocking, both CPU and GPU, which I did as well.
There is also a “Verify And Repair” function in the Xbox App.
“3 dots menu”, “Manage”, then “Files” to get there.
I don’t use Riva Tuner can this software be installed automatically by using other software? I used to use MSI Afterburner but that was a few years ago and since I’ve freshly installed WIN 11.
