I never did figure our the logic of why the program does this.
I finally did the following and it works.

Make each preset the Device name by duplicating each Preset and give it a new name, the device name.

If it displays the message to create a new Preset, type the above Preset name .

When you exit, the program saves all changes made to any Preset and remembers the Presets displayed when starting again.

Make sure these Preset names are displayed when you Save and Back.
I use these 3 Presets for all Aircraft.
So, it is like FS2020.
