2024 is running the best it ever has on Xbox Series X: Latest Build

I am seriously blown away with the performance of the game on this latest build. I can load into my third party KJFK, KLAX…both by inibuilds, along with many others and the game is just butter from start to finish, except for some slight freezing after landing at my destination airports, which were not even third party…but it was very slight…can definitely deal with that!

Live weather, and live traffic are on, but multiplayer is off completely.

Have used the 787, 737, Vision Jet, Longitude, Cessna 152 w/G1000, and some other planes I cannot remember right now as I basically pulled an all-nighter, could not sleep, so got up and played and by the time I looked at the clock it was already 7:30 AM…darn it, haha.

Weather effects were amazing flying out of KJFK this morning as there was a pretty big thunder and lightning storm, which showed in the game and like I said…looked awesome! I noticed that turbulence was much more noticeable (I have mine set to realistic) but I was flying through and then above a massive weather system that is still moving across the Northeast.

Graphics looked amazing! I mean, if the game was like what I experienced last night into this morning all the time, I would be so happy. I have no clue if they did something with the servers, or if this is all from the current beta build! Please Asobo, whatever you have done with this build appears to be working…do not mess it up, haha! Now you can focus on getting the planes that need some work done, finished!

Just wanted to give my experience. Oh, I do have third party airports downloaded, along with the main planes I use (which are the ones above) and most all other third party products I have.

Hope everyone on Xbox (and PC) are enjoying and are impressed/happy as I am!

Happy Skies!

That’s not true. That’s marketing.

Umm, no it is not. It was my experience all morning.

Now, we all know sometimes the game runs great because of the servers or something that happens with the game. Could it have been that? Absolutely!

I could get on in a couple hours and it could run like garbage.

Are you using a light aircraft? If it’s a heavy one, I think you’ll still have problems.

In my first post:

”Have used the 787, 737, Vision Jet, Longitude, Cessna 152 w/G1000, and some other planes I cannot remember right now as I basically pulled an all-nighter, could not sleep, so got up and played and by the time I looked at the clock it was already 7:30 AM…darn it, haha.”

I’m sorry when I said it wasn’t true, that wasn’t exactly what I meant. I’ve already given up trying to play with large aircraft, too much crashing.

I agree that this is the best thus far. Apart from a few CTDs the graphics are better and smoother. I have noticed that when switching cameras to external views there is a ripple effect such that you can clearly see the graphics refreshing / regenerating from the aircraft outwards - in a clear ripple outwards - slowly but steadily - most obvious at night with the lighting.

100% agree with this, it’s incredible and looking forward to getting stuck into the weekend in the sim, might fly the 747 career mode to the new Japan because finally the sim is worth exploring the world it comes in

One, apology accepted and thank you for being a civil person…especially on the internet! That is rare these days!

Two, I would give airliners a try again if you are on the beta. I think the Boeing 787 is the most polished Asobo airliner in the game, followed by the 747-8I/-8F (and I am assuming the 747-400 LCF aka Dreamlifter since it uses the same avionics systems and what not, but have not flown it in this beta so cannot say for sure - just wanted to be truthful on that) and then the 737 MAX 8. Have not flown the Boeing C-17 probably since SU2 or maybe early SU3, so cannot rate that one at all as far as this beta goes, though did work pretty well for me when I did fly it last…for whatever that is worth, haha.

I do not fly Airbus airliners, so someone else will have to comment in here how those particular aircraft rank regrading this beta.

How is it going for you if you have played at all?

Performance and stability is definitely getting there and I know that’s all alot of us have wanted out of the box at the moment, next thing will be the bug fixes but general performance to be stable and decent lod and tlod while not killing the Xbox by over doing it as well the Xbox isn’t as powerful as some think and it does not run this game in a native output of 4k native 4k30 takes alot more juice then the Xbox can produce

It’s been great overall. Some random moments of burry LOD but otherwise really good

The 747 is a tank on the console and sometimes you get some slow FPS and blurry LOD

The bravo 787 version is incredible, bang on performance and brilliant LOD, this is becoming my jam now, the engine sounds from bravo are next level, really makes the dreamliner come alive

I’m pleased it is running well on the Xbox.

The 787 is compelling, I can pop out the info screen onto another monitor with very little fps change. So scanning fuel, apu, hyd, elec via the on screen buttons feels realistic and reassuring.

I think the popout Windows are now 2D WASM based and run efficiently on the CPU/GPU.

The Airbus planes are getting better. But do make sure you Update them in the Library, as 1.6.7.0 seems to be sim only.

Yeah I’m planning on flying the 787 for the first time tomorrow. I’ve still got live traffic off so will have to try turning it on.

What about airport traffic? Do you have that turned off, low, or medium. I’ve had it off for a while now

Traffic off helped my performance a lot, too
