I do see your point of view.
You could also see this from a different viewpoint. If there is no demand why should they do it at all.
isn’t this forum also a way to communicate with MS? Showing demand in something isn’t done by one person asking for it one time.
And if MS does feel that there is a high demand it might lead to some results. A dev stream is a lot of work and blocks a lot of resources. Why doing it if there is no demand?
Personally I do not need one, but would like to see some kind of roadmap for the next 12 month. Just to manage expectations. If this might be provided within a Dev Stream, I will take it.
So for me I do not see this kind of questions as annoying questions. For me this is letting MS know what the specific user would like to see. It might not fit with my needs but I do understand why someone would like to communicate with MS that he feels it is maybe time to do something.
Just my 2ct
Here, I think, lies the core issue. I think that a forum is a way to deflect communication from MS support to helpful and knowledgeable fellow simmers.
So, no, it’s not a way to communicate directly with MS, but always through the filter of the mods, and cm’s. I might be mistaken, but the people we see in the developer stream have never posted here.
A forum is a funnel. A cm communicates about trends they see in the forum.
What I see is a kind of underlying distrust that the cm’s are holding back info. To my view, they are not. They communicate important news, like a dev stream, with the Q&A form, asap.
Are we all subscribed to the news channel?
Thank you, this is exactly my point, just much more elegant articulated.
If a CM (afaik an employee of MS) is communicating the trend that a lot of people asking for a Dev stream it might put this higher up on the todo list.
Personally I am glad that Jörg does not communicate directly with me in this forum. I hope he is managing the bigger picture. His job is also to choose the right person in terms of CM who does the job of the CM. If he would communicate with all of us in this forum he would be a CM and not the head of MSFS.
Keep in mind that not all of us are native English speaker and we all come from different cultural backgrounds.
The understanding how a company should or could communicate with their customer base might be different in Europe vs. US vs. Asia vs. south America aso.
Cheers
EDIT: I see it like it is sometimes within a marriage, the wife is constantly nagging the husband until he gives up.

I would place higher bets on the bug and wish list than on the amount of reactions on a topic. But I don’t know for sure.
I like your comment. Made me laugh
Can there be an offline play mode as well
