2080ti and MSFS2020

Most blow onto the CPU but I’m not saying yours does. I don’t go for all the hype, practically any thermal paste does me.

May be some pictures with side panel and possibly front panel open may help us advise you better. From what I have seen in various reviews, Alienware prebuilt systems are notoriously air flow restricted and can easily over heat if clogged by dust. 60° idle temp is really high for a 2080ti. My 3080 used to idle at around 45-55 c without the GPU fans actually running. And thats on top of a ambient temp of 28-35° C.

So if you can clean the system or get it done by someone, it may help the temps. Also make sure you don’t have any pre-installed bloatware running in background which may constantly use some GPU resource.

And any well reviewed thermal paste will do. No need to get the best paste for very high cost. At most those will improve temps by 4-5 degrees. It’s the application that matters.

No doubt that’s according to the manufacturers testing against mud, realty is often different.

I remember using toothpaste once (a weekend emergency), it worked like a charm

Here you go. I was running MSFS in VR for about an hour I guess.

GPU temp maxed out at 53.
CPU temp maxed out at 78.

Add 10 degrees for the hotspot and that’s still pretty amazing
